Simple needs: Air Note 5c vs Go 10.3 Gen II, or other...

My needs are pretty simple

  1. reading books/EPUBs on calibre for fun

  2. reading medical PDFs, annotating, highlighting, and exporting those notes

  3. Easy access to an app that allows me to highlight within books or PDFs and have it immediately open into a wikipedia webpage and/or just show a dictionary definition

Do I need the Air Note 5c, or can all of this just as quickly and easily be done on the Go 10.3 Gen II, or is a different device (even different brand), more suited to these needs? Or, is the Air Note 6c close enough that I should wait?

Model Y L trunk space with third row folded

Can’t find online. What is the trunk space capacity of the new Model Y L when the third row is folded down, compared to the trunk space in a standard model Y?

It’s bigger, right?

Talk me into or out of the globerider 45

Need a new travel backpack. Have two kids and lots of stuff. We always check bags but my evergoods Civic travel bag 35 is getting to be a little too small. I need a carry-on backpack that I can take on the plane in addition to a personal item to hold all the extra nonsense that was too heavy for a checked bag plus kids ipads and snacks, diapers, clothes etc.

Is the globe Rider 45 for me? Or should I look elsewhere? I have one more day on the sale if I don’t buy today I’m just not buying it.

No more Dyson! What’s next?

I just broke my third Dyson in five years. I’m tired of giving them my money.

I have a big house, almost 6000 ft.². About equal proportion carpet and hardwood/tile. I’ve got messy young children, and I like to vacuum the kitchen floors after almost every meal. We will get pets in the next couple years. I care about air quality so some nice filtration would be useful.

Since my house is so big, I don’t want a super compact model where I’ll have to change the bag every five seconds.

What would you get if you were me?

New AC1 owner - help me make it less bright

I just got an AC1 on facebook marketplace for super cheap so Im will to spend a bit to mod it. Im looking to swap out the head, bridge, and tailpiece with the goal of making it a little less bright. What would you recommend for this purpose? I do NOT want a real skin head, Im looking for just a typical Remo or Renaissance head, heavy compensated wood bridge, and decent tailpiece (something I can do knot or no knot, and regular or nylon strings if possible). I'm learning both clawhammer and bluegrass styles.

If you're able to help, specific products/links would be helpful as Im a relative newbie and don't want to buy non-compatible products. Thanks!

X3: is speckled text normal?

Top left of my screen text is not solid black in color. The text is quite speckled. Is this quite common in these devices? It’s not horrendous or anything, but it seems like a defect and it’s quite distracting.

No compatible devices found - does that mean mine is locked?

X3 arrived from AliExpress. Connected to Macbook Pro - no compatible devices found. Removed micro sd - same thing. So is mine locked? Where is the unlocker? Is there a tutorial somewhere? My X3 is in chinese and I don't understand what all the buttons do LOL

Packable packs: 15-20L or so with bottle pockets

I missed the MatadorXPackhacker ReFraction so here I am.

What I need is a secondary pack to put in a suitcase for traveling that:

Lightweight and packable (pack flat or roll)

2 bottle holders on outside

15-20L or so

This is for parenting stuff so don't need admin pouch, and don't need laptop sleeve. Just need a very lightweight, durable, packable way to schlep random layers that my wife and 2 kids shed, and have easy access to water bottles. One big compartment is fine, but a little valuables/keys/wallet pocket on top or whatever isn't the end of the world.

Thinking about the AER Go Pack 2, Matador ReFraction (not the collab), --- what else should I be looking at?

Rickard maple ridge vs cherry little wonder

I have nowhere to play this in real life. Has anyone played both of them and have thoughts? Will be looking at a 12 inch version of either. Found pretty decent deals for both of these. Just trying to decide which one to get. If anyone has experience with both, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Anyone done both and can compare the two? I’m an experienced guitar player but brand new to both bluegrass and banjo. Looking to learn three finger Scruggs style banjo. If I do ArtistWorks I don’t plan on doing video exchanges- i’m just looking for opinions on the merits of one course versus the other in the absence of the teacher video exchange.

Who has experience with them both? Which do you think is better for a total beginner who’s looking for a fully immersive three fingers Scruggs style Bluegrass banjo learning experience?

Thanks

Visually this one is hard for me to resist. Is AEB- L steel any good? Anyone else buying this?

Story driven, immersive in the wilderness, kind of creepy a little bit, actually scary is ok too but combat needs to be a very small part of the game if any. is there anything else out there like this game?

I can shift from park to drive, when I push the ignition button, the air turns on, the wheel is not locked, but the engine won’t turn on. Any tricks here?

Edit: craziest thing. Ignition button would light up and air conditioner would turn on. I could shift to drive without the engine on. I could turn the wheel. Triple A told us to turn all the lights to off and switch the wipers to off a the car just turned on. Some weird glitch they keep getting calls on recently. So we’re all good
