Half of my friends have just up end left me in the past few months after basically deciding they were too cool for me. They’ve decided that some people don’t deserve respect and have created a fucked-up little hierarchy in their head in which they and their stupid fucking clique are superior to everyone else and that those on the “bottom” do not deserve to be regarded with empathy. All they are is rude to others, usually for trivial, pointless, stupid reasons, like the way they talk or what they enjoy, because I guess people just aren’t allowed to fucking like things anymore.
All they do is insult me under the cheap guise of a joke. I remember someone made a statement about my hair, which was hardly even a compliment, and I thought about it for the rest of the afternoon, not because I liked them, but because it was the first comment I had heard about my body in literal months that wasn’t negative and/or mean-spirited.
