Hertz Presidents Circle status match with other rental companies!

Maybe other people knew this, but I just came across this today: other rental companies will match your Hertz loyalty program status and upgrade you to their equivalent! I use Sixt when driving in Europe and got my Sixt membership status upgraded to Platinum in about 10 minutes. I just had to provide a screenshot of my Hertz membership status. Seems a lot of rental companies do this - just search for "Sixt (or whatever company) Status Match"!

Respect for contestants who have some idea of how to film - because Jacks cannot

Not that I could do much better, but good lord, Jacks' camera work is terrible/annoying. A lot of contestants have commented on how much work it is to survive and film it at the same time, but Jacks' "work" gives me a newfound respect for those who can. Also whoever had to edit that trash fire deserves an immediate Emmy.

Bad edits on the last two Who's the Bitch episodes

I'm a weekly listener, but is it just me or have the last two episodes of WTB had editing issues? There are multiple instances on each where the audio skips back several minutes and repeats. The actual progress bar does not go back, but the audio repeats. Maybe this is a Spotify issues, but pretty annoying.

Cannon via the Old Man site

Very fun climb to the site of the Old Man of the Mountain site. It’s crazy the effort they put in with cables and cement to keep that guy in place. Then a pretty legit bushwhack to Cannon before that and the Kinsmans for my August grid.

Osseo-cocks!

Strung together the Osceolas and Hancocks yesterday, including the Kanc walk between. Chilly wind on the ridge was very nice.

Reno Accommodation for one night?

Obviously 1000 places to stay and I can just google it... My flight is getting in late and I just need somewhere decent-ish to crash before driving down to Mammoth the next morning. Anyone with actual experience of places to recommend? Thanks.

Skyland Trail to Mt. Cardigan

https://preview.redd.it/rnlc35an6fch1.png?width=984&format=png&auto=webp&s=e68823fd7379949a926590bbe3e3856d0669df47

Out of my normal region this coming weekend and wondering if anyone has details on the parking situation for the Skyland Trail to Mt. Cardigan?

I've done some decent googling, and it sounds like parking is just off the side off Orange Road as it's all private land? Anyone have the AMC Southern New Hampshire Trail Guide handy?

I'd love to hear from anyone with actual experience.

Would post to r/wmnf, but it's outside the region, obviously.

Thankfully he had an appropriate fear of humans, unlike Pemi Bear (RiP)

Someone dropped an iPhone on the street in front of our house this morning. I’ve tried reaching out to a few of the contacts I could see incoming texts from via social media and also tried to retrieve the owner’s information off of it, but no luck. I think the owner's name is Matthew? Hope the owner sees this. If I haven’t heard anything by tomorrow I’ll turn it into the PD.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience lashing two Gossamer Gear LT5 poles together with a strap to get to the necessary 142 cm height needed to pitch the Altaplex?

This is basically the same setup that Hyperlight recommends for pitching the Ultramid, but I just wanted to know if anyone had specific experience with poles this light. I'd rather not buy a new, longer pole or bring a pole jack if the strap will work.
