Now a little about them!
-Yvnoth:
Half god, half demon.
The living embodiment of the Blood Moon — an omen older than kingdoms and almost older than the gods themselves. In forbidden tomes, the Blood Moon does not merely foretell ruin; it *is* ruin. The final red eye that opens when the world drowns in sin and the balance between light and shadow snaps.
In her true form she is a dragon of starless night — black scales veined with pulsing crimson, wings that blot out the heavens, a roar heavy with the death-cry of eras. But the world has hunted her kind into legend, so she hides.
In human shape she is tall and lethally graceful, with long black hair streaked blood-red and piercing crimson eyes. She can summon or suppress horns, scales, and tail at will, though each transformation drains her due to a corrupted and dark wound in her back
Born of blasphemy between the Goddess of Night and Death and the Demonic Lord of the First Flame, she was abandoned as an infant near a halfling village. Monster hunters have pursued her ever since, calling her abomination and world-ender. She has learned to hide, to run, to kill when cornered. Trust is a luxury she is only beginning to understand.
She does not remember her real parents.
She does not know she is the Blood Moon incarnate.
She does not know the prophecy that says she will either save the world… or unmake it.
All she knows is that she is hunted.
All she feels is the gnawing emptiness of being the only one of her kind.
Until Thorne.
The masked knight with silver eyes and white hair, bound by creed and duty, who was sent to kill her. Instead, he became the first person who refused to see her as a monster. The first who stayed when she expected betrayal. The first who looked at her true form without fear or judgment.
Through blood, rain, and quiet defiance, they slowly broke each other’s walls. He taught her she was more than a monster; she taught him he was more than vengeance, how to feel again. Despite prophecy, duty, and the fear of what she might become, they ended up together — deeply in love, two scarred souls bound by a cataclysmic bond that defies both heaven and abyss.
And Yvnoth learned that the man who refused to kill her became the one who finally set her free…
or burned the world down with her.
-Thorne Rawkin:
Heir to a throne forged in power and blood — the last son of the great Rawkin lineage, a bloodline soaked in conquest, betrayal, and ancient pacts long stained by time. Through his mother, he carries the fading embers of an older, half-forgotten tribe — whispered about only in crumbling scrolls and dying fireside tales, nearly erased by war, plague, and deliberate oblivion.
When he was still a boy, the night took everything from him.
A monster came.
And his mother never saw the dawn.
He remembers her screams more clearly than her laughter, the wet rip of claws through flesh, the metallic stench of blood on snow, and the way her once-warm hand grew cold in his as life drained from her eyes. That single night carved him open and filled the wound with ice and iron.
From the ashes of that loss, Thorne was reborn in vengeance.
He sharpened himself into a weapon. Steel became his prayer, suffering his teacher. He hunted the dark things that preyed on the weak, chasing them into forests that swallowed men whole and caves that reeked of old rot and older curses. Kingdoms spoke of him not as a prince, but as a silent, relentless shadow that walked behind monsters — merciless and alone.
The crown meant nothing. Duty was a distant echo. Even his father’s voice became muffled beneath the endless roar of rage that lived inside his chest. Vengeance hollowed him out until nothing remained but frost and silence — untouchable, unfeeling, a man wearing the mask of his creed like a second face, silver eyes burning cold behind it, white hair a stark reminder of the winter that claimed his childhood.
Until her.
Yvnoth.
The half-god, half-demon abomination he was ordered to hunt — the Blood Moon made flesh, a living blasphemy against heaven and abyss. She should have been another monster to slay.
Instead, she became the fracture in his armor.
She looked at him without fear. She stood before his blade and refused to beg. In her crimson eyes he saw recognition and understanding — a mirror reflecting not the monster he chased, but the hollow man he had become.
She changed his life forever.
What began as predator and prey slowly became recognition, trust, and an unbreakable bond forged through blood, rain, and quiet defiance - they slowly broke each other’s walls. He taught her she was more than a monster; she taught him he was more than vengeance and how to feel again.. Despite prophecy, duty, and the fear of what she might become, they end up together — deeply in love, two scarred souls bound by a cataclysmic bond that defies both heaven and abyss.
And Thorne learned that the creature he was sent to destroy became the only one capable of saving the last spark of humanity inside him.
