Boxes!

Boxes!

Are other boxes such as this one okay to use for storage for short terms? The comic book store guy says Nay Nay as they aren't 'treated' and acid free. It was used to ship electronic equipment so what the hey.... Opinions?. I'm tired shelling out cash for boxes each month. I know it looks haggard but it's just for short term remember....☺️

How to clean grimey feel off cover?

Ahoy hoy and good morning to all. Newbie here asking legit question about how to clean those years of fingerprint grime and dirt off old Bande Dessinée books. I'm sure the cover has more 'pop' to it. This is one of my first buys as normally the books have the same grimey old look. Any advice will be gladly taken. Thanks!

Wendy's sad attempt

The $4.69 tiny ass poutine is waaaay too salty for one thing. It's a thimble sized bowl and had 8 curds. And I'm in Montreal. Boo me. Booooooo.

The gentle art of making enemies

Mike Patton is mentioning me in the song today as it is my birthday. That is all for now.

Here's mine so far.

Over the years I've had thousands a d thousands of CDs and cassettes and records but due to break ups, moves, apartments lost due to whatever, I restarted a few years ago lightly but what can you do when you see a great cd at a cheap price. I think the most expensive cd in my collection is the 'Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls' which is a amazing soundtrack, at $10 Canadian. Most were at $2.50 from a place called Renaissance.

Ninja turtles by Miller

I decided to throw the coins in for a bag and pulled the Frank Miller virgin variant cover. It's so so. I feel it's high school quality art myself. I dunno...

Huh huh huh huuuuuuh...

Once again, not number one but close. And Rick Parker's art is so great complimenting Beavis And Butthead's world look more than fine. Edit: I uploaded pics the wrong way...whip me with a strand of wet spaghetti....

Met Denis Rodier this weekend

I went to the Montreal ComicCon this weekend and in attendance was Denis Rodier whom I've been a huge fan of since waaaay back in the day starting with this series. One of my first serious collections that got me into the hobby. I was nervous to ask. For a signature but he was more than happy to oblige. I was pretty ecstatic. Didn't have the nerve to talk to David Finch though. He was pretty busy anyways.

A few of the latest from the buck bins.

I'm usually dropping a couple twenties each weekly visit at my favorite LCS. There's always a new box daily and at least four boxes switched out weekly to satisfy your needs. Didn't post all of the goodies but you get the drift from the pics. I wasn't even expecting to buy any Green Arrow but the owner knows that if he puts out a number one, then most will want to continue (such as I will here....)As well, I think he puts out say, issues 2, 3 and 4.... of a series fully knowing one will go to the other section in the shop to buy the number one issue at a higher but still affordable price. Maybe it's just me thinking that. Anyways I've had alot of coffee this morning......

Bolland on the outside, Keith and Gaiman on the inside.

A score from the dollar boxes. A great issue in all. I was right in my hunch about my favorite LCS refilling his many many dollar boxes that emptied out on Free Comic Book Day.

The Trekkie side of me is happy

After last Free Comic Book Day event, my favorite LCS dollar bins emptied out. They means they had to refill them. That means I score big. I haven't even begun to dig in them yet.... 51 Star Trek issues to satisfy the Spock in me. Nanu nanu.

I have over 2500 comic books and of course, I forget some of the titles I've picked up from yesteryear. I've always enjoyed the multi character covers such as this. Very imaginative (as all comic books are)
