I never knew just how many ads there are on Reddit and TikTok in the EU before I started using Proton VPN. How do y’all put up with it?? 😵‍💫

I recently switched from Gmail to Proton Mail Plus, but now I also want to replace Google Drive. I'm not sure which approach is better:

- Proton Unlimited: Keep using Proton Mail and also get Drive with 500GB storage, VPN and Pass for 13EUR/month. But I'm worried about putting too many eggs in one basket.

- Proton Mail Plus + Hetzner Storage Share: Keep using Proton Mail for 5EUR/month and also get Hetzner Storage Share (a managed Nextcloud server) with 1TB storage for 4.30EUR/month. Would be cheaper, but I'd be missing out on Proton VPN and Pass, which would be really nice to have.

I set up my custom domain on Proton. My main email is [name]@domain.com, and I also have finance@ and contact@. I just don't know how to approach online accounts.

Which one should I do:

- accounts@ for all online accounts

- [name of service]@ for all online accounts

- accounts@ for important accounts, [name of service]@ for junk

What I'm worried about with [name of service]@ is that I won't be able to reply using those addresses.

Sometimes my system randomly freezes completely, even the mouse pointer.

I'm on Ubuntu 26.04, but it also happened a few times on 25.10.

The device is the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U.

Also I only use it when connected to an external Lenovo display via USB-C.
