Looking to replace my backpack brain with a waterproof fabric sheet to cover the cinch and possibly be useful as a sitpad/kneelpad. Anyone know of someone who already makes this? Or am I overthinking it? I must be using the wrong terms because my Google-fu is failing me.

i get minimizing weight on long hikes but some ultralight gear lists feel borderline obsessive. saw someone recommend cutting down a toothbrush handle to save a few grams. at what point does it stop being practical?

I am aware there are a few apps that you can do a gear list on but the couple I have tried rely on my entering all the data as well as weight, are there any out there which either auto complete or allows me to pick my kit for a list. For example for sleeping pad if I started typing big agnes it would be nice to have a pick list where I can select say the zoom ul and it auto populates the rest if the details including weight.
