I fucking hate card games and games that have anything to do with math

I am an autistic guy and i struggle with Dyscalculia. My parents and I have friends over right now and they brought a card game to play and I am so NOT into it. I hate card games and all games that have anything to do with math. This game is so fucking lame, i wish i could say that out loud. This game is so annoying that i would rather bash my head against the wall repeatedly. 🤦🏼‍♂️😠😐

This will probably sound dumb, but I don’t know how to make a good pot of coffee

I’m not a coffee drinker and I had to make coffee at work for a meeting in our conference room this morning. I was trying to figure out how to make the coffee and accidentally spilled hot coffee on my hand. I felt like an idiot.

This is a friendly reminder to take your meds if you haven’t done so yet

I just took my Lexapro dose (20mg), Hydroxyzine dose (25mg), and my Trazodone dose (50mg). If you haven’t taken your meds yet, this is a friendly reminder to do so. Also, drink some water!

A couple reasons why I don’t really look forward to my birthday anymore

I am a 30-year-old autistic guy and one of the reasons why I don’t like/ don’t look forward to my birthday is due to the way my family members ask me what I want for my birthday. That can be really overwhelming because i feel like i am forced to actually have an answer ready even though i couldn’t care less about getting anything of material value as a gift.

My birthday (12/13) is also close to Christmas, so there is the added pressure of having to come up with an answer when a family member asks me what i want for Christmas. I usually end up telling family to just give me some money for my birthday or Christmas so that i can get something for myself instead of them getting me something and then having to pretend to be happy or excited about what they got me.

Does this resonate with anyone? If so, i would love to hear about your experiences in regard to managing/ dealing with expectations of a reaction to receiving a gift for your birthday or Christmas.

I am an autistic guy and I am trying to be independent even though i am living with my parents. They have a rule about no drinking after they go to bed, but i am an adult and I can do whatever the fuck i want. They don’t have control over me!

Today at work, the volunteer coordinator at my volunteer job, who knows about my autism diagnosis, came to check on me at the front desk and she asked if i had eaten lunch. I told her yes and she asked what i had. I told her that i ordered food from Uber Eats. She said “you’re so smart”. The tone of voice she used when she said “you’re so smart” rubbed me the wrong way.

Am i overthinking this and making a bigger deal out of it than it has to be?

I ordered McDonalds on uber eats today because i am working until 5:00 PM. When the food arrived, the outer bag wreaked of cigarette smoke. I didn’t leave a tip because of that. Do drivers have to follow any non-smoking rules while there is delivery food in their vehicle?

I made myself an Old Fashioned cocktail this evening and used a few ounces out of a bottle of Knob Creek Smoked Maple that a recent dinner guest gifted my parents and I. After the first sip, i was taken back to the weekends during my childhood, having pancakes and maple syrup with my parents and my two older brothers. I miss those days. I love my brothers, no matter the situation an chaos we find each other in

My recipe:

• 4 oz of Knob Creek Smoked Maple bourbon
• 1 bar spoon of Stirrings simple syrup
• 4 dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
• 4 dashes of Angostura Orange Bitters

• stirred over ice until chilled
• strained into a rocks glass
• garnished with 1 orange peel, 1 lemon peel, and 1 cocktail cherry.

Side Note: I TRULY believe that this is THE best old fashioned i have EVER made! Whatever Knob Creek did with their Smoked Maple blend, they created ONE HELL OF A BOURBON!

Did a grocery run today and stocked up on Topo Chico sparkling water among other things. I already had the Lost Coast IPAs, Truly Unruly variety pack, Grapefruit Spindrifts, Corona Premiers, and the Lagunitas Hoppy Refreshers from two weekends ago. Also got some champagne and a couple bottles of wine in there for special occasions.

I have been on Lexapro for about six years now and I recently took a week off from taking it. I got back on it yesterday and have had diarrhea. I have also struggled with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) my entire life, so it could be that acting up also. With all of that said, has anyone else experienced this after getting back on their antidepressant?

I am an autistic guy and I had tubes in both ears as an infant to drain fluid buildup that was caused by chronic ear infections. Ever since then, i have had a life-long sensation of fullness in my left ear. I get my ears cleaned at my ENT Doctor’s office every six months or so and I have discussed this issue with him. He has looked into the issue and has sent me to an audiologist to get my hearing checked. Neither one of them has found anything wrong. All they say is that it could be eustachian tube dysfunction. It’s frustrating not getting any real answers. I don’t know where to go from here.
