I've been thinking more and more lately about how the art/ animation styles for MH and EAH are very very different and if we ever got the crossover presumably it would be just the one style to be more cohesive? Unless the MH girls become the same style when in EAH world and vice versa? That may have been the case since at the end of Boo York with the famous scene of Nova on the phone to Apple and Raven they are both in the two different styles?

Like how Raven signs the book in Way To Wonderland, regains control and then just continues doing whatever she wants and not following her destiny anyway, and she signed the REAL Storybook, so why didn't Ashlynn and Briar and all the others sign it, (so they didn't go "poof") and then continue to date hunter and keep partying and do whatever else they wanted to?

The PT Mattel Indonesia (PTMI) factory produced two highly sought-after employee exclusive birthday dolls utilizing Monster High parts: "Birthday Candy" and "Circa Magica".

The structural and aesthetic details that make up these two distinct dolls include:

1. 20th Anniversary "Birthday Candy" (Released 2012–2013)

• The Body & Head: Unlike Circa Magica, Birthday Candy uses a full Monster High head AND body sculpt.
• The Face Makeup: She features an entirely unique face screening with tiny stars embedded in her eyeshadow.
• The Outfit & Style: She features a colorful, 90s-inspired party outfit.

1. "Circa Magica" (Released 2013–2014)

• The Hybrid Body: As noted, she features a Generation 1 Draculaura head sculpt on an Ever After High body.
• The Box Story: Her packaging box explicitly labels her name and includes a whimsical backstory on the back that reads: "Happy birthday. Hi, I'm Circa Magica. Tonight I'm coming to your fabulous party to put a magic on your cake. So make your wishes and blow your candles."
• The Styling: Her clothing is a completely original, brightly colored party dress paired with recycled, recoloured shoes and jewellery molded from existing Mattel accessory stock.

Both of these dolls were labeled "Not for Sale" on their packaging because they were distributed exclusively as internal birthday gifts or milestone incentives to Indonesian factory staff.

I also found books when searching for images which has confused me even more!!!

I'm not a collector of dolls just an admirer, I'm worried if I start I won't stop and I'll spend too much money LOL!! I just love them! They are all so well detailed and reflect the cartoon imagery brilliantly!

I can't believe it took me this long to realise it!

Anyone else really admire the creativity behind the characters names in ever after high some of them just show a certain level of attention to detail that I always admired. I just think its so creative and so many of the characters having puns as names just always tickled my brain! So here is my first impressions of every single name:

I am not hating on these characters, just going based on the names and what I first thought when watching the series!!!

Nor do I expect anyone to read the entire list!!!(unless you want to ofc). I just made this so you can skip to the characters you care to discuss and share your thoughts on the names as well and maybe you agree/ disagree with my takes and I'd love to hear everyones thoughts)

Also sorry if this is a bit all over the place I've worked on this on different days and in different mindsets so the comments will vary.

Wave 1 & Launch Characters (2013)

• Apple White – (Kinda obvious but fits the character theme super well) 
• Raven Queen – (Not as first thought as apple but still kinda obvious e.g you think evil names raven kind of pops to mind) 
• Briar Beauty – This one confused me when making this post so I had to google it but apparently a "briar" is a thorny plant patch (aka roses)? Who knew!? 
• Madeline Hatter – Super obvious
• Ashlynn Ella – A name you have to think about but once you make the connection (Cinders = Ashes) it's definitely an intelligent pun
• Hunter Huntsman –  Oof.
• Daring Charming – Makes perfect sense although its two adjectives which is meh.

Wave 2 & Early Webisodes (Late 2013)

• Blondie Lockes – It feels like a bit more thought went into this one!
• C.A. Cupid – Can’t really say much about this one but... (kind of off topic) when I was making this I googled what the C.A stood for and it stands for Chariclo Arganthone, so thats something I didn’t know before this! Thank you random fixation!
• Cerise Hood – Cerise always confused me until I googled it and apparently it means cherry (RED) 
• Hopper Croakington II: This is PERFECT!!!! The puns are just *chefs kiss*
• Sparrow Hood – THEY JUST PICKED A DIFFERENT BIRD

Wave 3 & Core Expansion (2014)

• Cedar Wood – YES! Brilliant pun!
• Dexter Charming – Doesn’t make sense? Geeky version of Daring maybe? Am I missing something?
• Lizzie Hearts – I don’t know why but this makes sense even though I can’t find how “Lizzie” or “Elizabeth” relates to the character/ character backstory?
• Holly O'Hair & Poppy O'Hair – Never really been a fan of their names, they never felt connected to the characters like most of the others.
• Humphrey Dumpty – Not much to say they just picked the “human name” (if you will) 
• Melody Piper –Not bad! Stays on theme
• Tiny – HA!

Wave 4 & Movie Specials (Late 2014 - 2015)

• Duchess Swan – Why Duchess? Does it relate to birds? Is the daughter of a princess's title “Duchess” that's the only connection I could make?
• Kitty Cheshire – Kinda obvious but at least it's on theme!!!
• Ginger Breadhouse: ABSOLUTELY MY FAV NAME!!! INSPIRED!!! (Edit, as I'm reading this back I am remembering she is NOT the daughter of the gingerbread man but the candy witch! (oops) Still a good name though!
• Darling Charming – Makes sense (feminine version of “Daring”)
• Rosabella Beauty – I do like how it nods to the Rose which is an integral part of the story as well as her mothers name Belle
• Faybelle Thorn – A fable is a story which I suppose relates? (I do appreciate the alternate spelling) But I wish there was more of a connection however I feel like “Thorn” makes up for that 
• Alistair Wonderland – Meh. Just the male version of Alice like most of the characters who have very few appearences (you'll see as you get further down this list what I'm talking about)
• Bunny Blanc – Kind of feel like they dropped the ball with her and Alistair when it came to the names but at least they were still relevant to the characters and their stories
• Helga & Gus Crumb – Can someone explain this to me? Other than the H&G initial and german theme idk?
• Courtly Jester – I suppose? Courtly makes sense in a way I can’t explain? However jester is self explanatory

 

Wave 5: Late Series & Epic Winter (2016)

• Justine Dancer – Justine makes no sense?
• Farrah Goodfairy – This is okayyy… but other than the pronunciation of farrah sounding like “Fair” I don't understand it? Fair also doesn't fully apply to the story so is it meant to sound like "Fairy" which is already in her name?
• Jillian Beanstalk – Again, other than the J initial I don’t know why they picked this?
• Nina Thumbell – Nina is reminiscent of the “-ina” in Thumbil-ina, so I guess it works? 
• Meeshell Mermaid – Meeshell has “shell” in the name and is a play on Michelle which I can appreciate! It does feel like they thought about this!
• Crystal Winter – Love the pun on ice crystals!!!
• Ramona Badwolf – Ramona...huh? Not sure how that relates?
• Chase Redford – Redford yes, Chase no…
• Jackie Frost & Northwind – Both appropriately Wintery.

Do we think they are the original two from the story? Or were they the 2nd generation that were the reason the school was created? Because when apple is signing the storybook of legends she says "I pledge to be the next Snow White" meaning that there is the possibility these two aren't the originals. After all the evil queen calls her "Snow" (maybe her name before she fufilled her destiny. Also who were all those yearbooks for?

I've always thought that the crossover would have explained so much, maybe even why the worlds of EAH and Monster High were connected in the first place. My theory is that all the worlds were once all separated but the evil queen found a way to access wonderland and these new worlds because she's power mad. She would have been eventually stopped but the gateways still remained open through mirror portals (the mirror portals make sense because she's obsessed with them, which makes her entrapment all the more annoying for her because its the one mirror she cant escape through) I'm curious to hear your thoughts and theories?
