Made a yearly/linear calendar app

hey all! I made a yearly/linear calendar. I'm still early in the development so would love your feedback.

A few things to highlight:

  • It connects with Google, Apple, Outlook.
  • You can share and compare your calendar with friends/family with varying privacy levels.
  • You can drag and drop to make sharable itineraries right in the app.
  • You can see your events/travels/friends on a globe
  • You can make and share external event pages with text blasts

Yearly Calendar Distribution advice

Hey everyone I just release my yearly calendar on the app store a few weeks ago. I've gotten some users and feedback but it seems to not be "taking off" how I would like.

any advice?

My Yearly/Linear Calendar is on the app store!

Hey all,

I know a few of you have seen my yearly calendar posted on here and have been interested so quick update/soft launch -- the app is live on the app store!!!

Ever wish you could see your entire year at a glance, connect all your accounts (Google, Apple, Outlook, iCAL subscriptions), and organize your social life all in one place?

A - Answer: Conmigo.

It's what your calendar app should be. See all your plans with a today, week, month and year view all in one place.

B - Better: Basically, it's built for your social life instead of repurposing a work tool.

  • Share your calendars with the people you care about with three different privacy levels.
  • Drag and drop to copy, delete and edit events. Move them into other events to create sharable itineraries (events within events).
  • Make fun event pages that can be used to invite people off the app, text blast them updates, discuss details and share pictures from right within the event.
  • Make those pictures the background of your day cells to customize your app and look back at your year.
  • Create open events that instantly notify your group about what your doing and shows it on a map (so others can join!)
  • A lightweight CRM so you easily see where people live when you make plans.

C - Cost: One price. No subscriptions. No repeat fees. No gated features

The whole app is free to use on iOS with as many accounts/synched calendars as you want to connect (Google, Apple, Outlook). On desktop the first connected account is free and every account after that is $10 with unlimited synched calendars/account.

D - Dream: I want to make Conmigo the front and center app from which all your social plans flow.

Basically I'm a calendar power user with a busy social life and it recently occurred to me that calendars could do SO MUCH MORE for our social lives. While we have incredibly sophisticated tools for work efficiency and digital engagement, the basic human need of spending time together remains frustratingly difficult — something that I think could change by fundamentally rethinking how we approach our calendars. Part of the reason it's so difficult is because it's a fragmented and mentally draining process involving several disconnected tools.

I want to change this.

I want to make Conmigo the front and center platform from which all your social plans flow rather than a place where you store the "coordination labor output" of a bunch of other disconnected tools for messaging, scheduling, finding/storing events, discovering availability, booking restaurants, etc. If today's calendars feel like a to-do list of obligations, I want the next generation to feel like a canvas for memories and possibilities.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

It's early and I'm building solo, so I'd genuinely love your honest feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, what would make this your daily calendar. Links in the comments!

Calendar app pricing for my Linear Calendar

Hey everyone. So I have a question about costs for modern calendar apps... what would you all say is a reasonable cost?

Cause let's be real, I think at this point charging a subscription to a calendar is ridiculous (ehem Fantastical, AnuCal, etc.) unless you're providing reoccurring value in new ways. Like Netflix and streaming I get it. You see new shows, they provide new content.

Calendars not so much.

I'm thinking about a business model for my calendar app where the first two accounts you connect are free and every additional account after that is $10. The "account slot" is available forever so you can just disconnect one and connect another one if you need to. It's a one time payment and you just pay for the number of accounts you'll be connecting with. You can have unlimited calendars per account.

So like if you have three emails with Google through three accounts and want to connect all three you just pay $10.

Thoughts?

What would be fair, cost-wise?

Hey everyone. So I have a question about costs... what would you all say is a reasonable cost for a calendar?

Calendars not so much. But I unfortunately can't keep it totally free at the moment... It's been a while not earning an income and I really need to earn ~something.

I'm thinking about having the first two accounts you connect be free and every additional account after that is $10. Submitted to the App store for the third time!

Hey all,

Just wanted to let you know about this. I've been polishing up other things as I submit to the app store so the iterations are slower than they could be. That being said, the app store is a pain in the ass.

Hope you're all doing well!

Juan

Request for features and improvements

Hey All!

Really trying to make Conmigo something "lovable" and useful but that's hard without feedback.

If you have any thoughts on how I could improve it or what features still need work that would be immensely helpful.

First rejection from App Store!

Hey all, hope you add had a good 4th!

Apple got back to me with a few reasonable changes to the app. If you guys have any feedback while I'm addressing them let me know. Things I'll be working on:

  • Google log in so it doesn't take you away from the app while logging in.
  • Location permissions and how I use them need to be clearer
  • A "buy me a coffee" link sneaked through into the app itself (apple doesn't allow external payment systems)
  • Some minor wording and performance requests.

Overall not too bad for the first attempt!

Regression tests

hey all, replit now has the agents suggest regression tests after something is done/changed. Obviously this is good practice but every once in a while it suggests something that I'm not quite sure is needed.

Does anyone have visibility (or even an opinion) on how useful the replit regression tests are and whether this is just a low hanging fruit way to extend every session to skim off the top?

Finally submitted to the app store!

After working for nearly 6 months, talking to users, high highs and very low lows I've finally done the thing...that marks the beginning lol

If anyone has any questions fire away.

Linear/Yearly calendar, app store screenshots

Hey all! I'm the guy that's posted about the yearly calendar a few times (conmigo.io). A few of you have expressed interest and been testers (thank you!!).

I'm happy to report I'm on track to submit to the app store this week! Wanted to get some feedback before I submitted. Any thoughts on the screen shots?

Also, here's the description I'm thinking of:

💌 Invites Anyone Can Answer

  • One-tap invites with live RSVP tracking
  • Create external event pages straight from your calendar. Get RSVPs and updates straight to your calendar.

New Features

Hey Party People! Hope you're having a great father's day so far. Put in a little work today cause that's what my father wants so I can finally move out of the house (just kidding!...or am I?)

Anyway, just released a new update. Main work includes:

  1. iCal URL calendar adding (so you can subscribe to world cup matches or any other calendarwith auto updating) Used this link from here to test it out.

https://preview.redd.it/fan5alka8p8h1.png?width=2155&format=png&auto=webp&s=32b74696e9c753f9e2a9c4ae1bb50ed1096dd637

  1. You can now create an event and make it "Open Invite" which allows it to ping all your friends in Conmigo letting them know they're invited to whatever event you made. It also shows up on the map in a cool way. Super useful for Friday night drinks.

  1. Apple log in.

  2. General aesthetic and functional fixes (home screen card look, filtering reliability, map function. etc.)

Cheers,

Juan
