Some plant mail arrived today ☺️

A few days ago I went pretty hardcore on plant chores in general but got a little chaotic chopping & propping my plants who needed it the most…like my dark form billie & my monstera albo…while in the midst of all I’d done the only solution was to order more plants while brainstorming my next move w the mess I created 🤣

I was pleasantly surprised to see the amazing condition these 2 arrived in 💚🤍 check out my new variegated billie & alocasia venom!! Both pushing new growth! W how hot it’s been I’m beyond pleased with how well they were packaged & handled the shipping process!!! still waiting on two other plant babies I ordered the same day lol

I do own a variegated billie but I fear it’s likely reverted. It was a low var. when I first got it, recently I chopped it in the hopes to bring back variegation. Waiting game now… In the meantime I wanted one w some actual variegation to start w! The venom I wasn’t necessarily shopping for but couldn’t pass up on the promo pricing offered & dang I’m glad I got her. She’s GORG!!!

Outgrowing her pole….

Absolutely obsessed with my monstera albo. She started out as any itty bitty wet stick (pretty expensive at the time too…) I spent so much time nurturing her, obsessing over her care as to not lose my precious wet stick to rot…

Now here we are - she lives in a lil corner of aroids in my bedroom where earlier today it was leaning against the window lol I’ve been tempted to chop and prop but I always feel anxious about chopping when it comes right down to it 😅 it’s either chop her or extend the pole. I think given those options I’ll chop and prop her to have one more plant to love 💚🤍

38wks+2 days w looming induction - curious about membrane sweeps

Today at my obgyn appt I was given an option of a membrane sweep. I knew I wanted to try it. I completely understand there’s no guarantee it’ll kick start labor & have been asking others if it’s been successful for them. My doc did say he was able to do a really good sweep due to me being dilated 2.5cm. I’ve had contractions last night and today and since getting the procedure I’ve had more pelvic area pains & vaginal pressure. Here’s to hoping it works, ready to have my little girl in my arms 💝

Side note I did try pumping as well today too and was pretty proud to collectively pump approx 3.5mls of colostrum. 😊

Philo Squami

My last two leaves are extremely light with darker green streaks throughout. This particular one does need a repot & new support system but I’m intrigued by just how light the newest two leaves are and how long they’ve been this light. I’m sure they’ll darken over time but I’m gonna enjoy em while it lasts 💚💚

Found this lil beauty…

Was the only one at Home Depot…and three plants in one pot. I’m a sucker for gorgeous long leaves 🥰

One of Bebe’s favorite hangin out spots. I promise she’s not stuck lol however she has successfully tricked me a time or two.

Maternity leave question 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’ve already submitted everything required to sedgewick however I’m curious when other mothers began their maternity leave. Did you work right on up until you had the baby or did you start your leave prior to delivering?? I ask because I’m currently 35 weeks, due on July 1st, am high risk (age, high blood pressure etc) and swelling in my legs/ankles is causing a great deal of discomfort. My maternal fetal medicine doctor stated at my last appointment I may end up having to deliver between 36-38 weeks but has not indicated a need for bed rest etc. My next appointment is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Being on my feet all day in the pharmacy is beginning to take its toll & currently I’m just above the required hourly average to receive paid maternity leave…

Please share your maternity leave experiences with me 🙏 I’d greatly appreciate it 🤍

I don’t have much family or means to have a baby shower and feels weird to plan one for myself. But I’m expecting my first little girl in July and although some may disagree I’ve been encouraged to make a registry anyway. Would it be rude to share it?
