Driving Peugeot 206 1.6 16v for 900km in a week

Hi all!

I've had my trusty 206 for 2 years now and i'm mainly using it as transport when it rains or for exceptionally heavy weekly groceries or other hauls. Most other things i do by bike. So i maintain it as cheaply as possible but i do fix or replace stuff when necessary. It's got an entire new exhaust, new tires, oil change, new battery, new rear brakes and fluids are topped off.

What would be some things to look out for when driving it for this long? I got a jack and roadside assistance and i'm not too worried but there's always something you didn't think of hence this post. Any and all tips are welcome!

High brightness when in cockpit view

On Xbox, when in cockpit view the game js way brighter. It doesn't look like it too much since it's evening but during a clear or foggy day the game is sometimes so bright i can barely see. It's even worse without any window tint. Anyone know a fix and id the devs are reading: Please look into this, thanks :)

Should i treat suede shoes even when not wearing them?

Hi all,

I have teo pairs of suede shoes that i brush and spray each month. One pair i wear often but the other i might wear once a month in the summer. In winter more often. Even if i almost never wear them should i still spray each month? Or is that actually too much?

ELI5 corridor lengths please

Optician in training here! I'm told to first of all use the corridor that someone is used to and if not known to use short for - and long for +. Our options range from 11 to 18mm with the average being 14.

Please ELI5 because for some reason this is such a mystery to me.

If someone does a lot of computer work, should i go shorter or longer and why?

If there is a big difference between the RX'es, shorter or longer and why?

If someone is used to a short corridor because of tiny glasses and now goes back. Should i keep the corridor the client is used to or should i try to 'fill out' the lenses with a longer one? What even happens if i use a short corridor on a lare lens?

What happens if you get the wrong corridor or change what someone is used to?

Any answers and other tips are appreciated!

Kobo Clara suddenly not downloading anything anymore.

Hi all,

Suddenly my Clara is refusing to download books. When i want to download them it says pending anf then after a while just goes back to how it was ad infinitum. I did everything Kobo recommended even going so far as signing out and in which removed all my previous downloads... Which it will now also not download! Even a book i was halfway trough on is refusing to download and now i can't read it further.

Anyone else has had this problem and any tips?

The Parker Solo Edge is a cheat code for bad shavers like me! Highly recommend.

I was almost about to give up on wet shaving. My skin is very sensitive and for some reason i never got the hang of the perfect angle with a normal safety razor. Tried it for 2 years and have used 3 different razors, a few brands of blades, face lather and bowl lather, different soaps, different brushes and i still cut myself pretty often. I already switched to a cartridge razor again for my throath area because that is the trickiest one. I still liked the entire ritual of the nice soaps and brushes etc so i wasn't ready to give up and went searching for some sort of safety razor/cartridge hybrid. Alas, this doesn't exist at least not from what i've found but in this search i came across the Solo Edge and wow!

I've only used it two times now since i've only had it for a week but these two times i got a flawless shave! No cuts at all, no irritation, no redness. The inbuilt angle kinda makes it impossible to get a wrong angle so for someone like me (and i assume loads of others) who just cán't seem to get it right this is a life saver! The first time i went for a bbs which i haven't done in a year. Still wasn't a good idea because of my sensitive skin but i was able to do it without cuts! This morning i just went for a single pass since it's nicer and it's still a very nice shave. This time i used it with Shark Platinum razors and have bought a few other 5-packs to sample namely Derby, Astra, Feather, Muhle and Gilette.

Hopefully this review will help someone who is also frustrated with wet shaving. Don't give up, there's a cheat code!

Wrist sprain won't heal. Any tips?

Hey all,

I fell on my wrists about a month ago. On my left without a brace and a week later on my right wíth a brace. Now after 4 weeks they still hurt AF! The first day it was pretty bad, then it levelled out and they're in this persistent pain since then. There was never any swelling or bruising and i have full range of motion just with pain. It's worse in the mornings and subsides troughout the day. I have difficulty with pushing motions, but not with pulling and only sometimes with gripping. I went for an x-ray to be sure and there is no fracture (bye bye money :().

Anyone else had this experience? It seems so specific that this would be the best place to ask, the wider internet isn't helping me along any further. I've got one PT session left which i'll use but if anyone has any tips please come at me! I know how to fall but sometimes you get those weird bails and it can't be helped so now i'm only doing easy stuff untill it heals lmao

I got this Marantz and it smells like hot plastic basically all the time, but it gets way worse when playing. So much so that i can smell it on the other side of the room as well. It functions perfectly, there is no smoke but it does get pretty warm on the back.

Even after being unplugged for 15-20 minutes the yellow tape stuff (i have no clue what it is, i'm a newb. Last pic) behind the cd part was still a tiny bit warm and also smells. Pinpointing the location is difficult because the entire back smells like hot plastic. Anyone got a clue as to what it might be? This problem has been around since i got it 2nd hand and i've used it only a handfull of times. I appreciate any replies!
