This is my 8” 300blk Aero build with AEM5-30k Suppressor.

Happy to see parts coming back and I really hope y’all can keep this momentum and earn back trust and your spot as one of the main go-to manufacturers. IMO, the best AR part y’all put out is the enhanced upper. A well priced semi-monolithic upper with rails large enough to fit common suppressor diameters is not something competitors are offering.

The Pro lower is great and I love mine but it’s priced similarly to an LMT MARS-L. The Pro has integrated trigger guard which is sleek but has less magwell flare and no ambi safety included.

Also A5 length buffer tubes would be great.

Has anyone found a good solution for a nightstand gun with a suppressor? My baby is getting mobile and I need something safe & secure that’s still easily accessible. There’s tons of quick access handgun safes but none that I’ve found are large enough for my setup. I’m right under 17” long.

Ideally I would just do some sort of trigger lock and mount that to the nightstand but I’m not sure about the reliability on those or if one will work with the light.

Any recommendations before I set out to just make my own?

Aero Enhanced/ Pro Ambi

I’ve been looking into the Surefire OBC and it seems to have some benefits that might be noticeable on my CQB build. I’m currently running an H3 Super42 buffer, KAK downvent carrier, and flipped gas tube (can’t remember port size). OCL PoloK pretty much full time. It shoots well as is but I’m particularly interested in the OBC as a means to lower my rate of fire with the Arc Fire safety while also opening the gas port for more reliability.

I’m curious if it would also allow me to open up my gas port for it to be more reliable without the suppressor without gassing me out when I do use the suppressor. I can pick one up for a not terrible price but it’s just spendy enough to be unhappy if it doesn’t really change anything.

M4E1 Pro lowers and enhanced uppers were absolutely goated.

Excellent Ambi controls that closely mimic my LMT MARS lower. Priced a little high but could be had on sale or as a blem for an attractive price.

Enhanced Uppers with a semi-monolithic handguard with enough room to tuck a lot of suppressors inside. Super easy construction and repeatable lockup.

Of course the colors were great too!

Really sad to see them slide the last few years.

If you’ve ever done balljoints on an HD truck with this tool then you already know what’s up. 20 minutes to do all 4 with a beer in between each side. The cheap C-clamp style tool does work.. most of the time, sorta. But this tool is the king.

In a professional shop it might make sense to spend the $1200 on this. I used it many times and I actually enjoyed those jobs because it was so fast and easy. I wish there was an alternative for half the price or less for home-use where I might do ball joints once every few years. I haven’t found a significantly cheaper alternative brand for this specific style press.

It’s seriously terrible. It was bad years ago and it’s only gotten worse somehow.

FFS this is my LGS and I’m finding myself buying elsewhere more and more each time I try to use their site to give them money. It’s dogshit

Tucked builds look great and catch a lot of heat around here (pun intended) and usually for good reason. But it can be done well and fully functional with the right setup. Here’s my 8” 300blk with half tucked AEM5-30k inside a 9.3” enhanced rail.

Allegheny Arms tapered gas block & short brake is how I mounted the reflex suppressor.

The rail doesn’t heat up faster or hotter than a typical 5.56 carbine at the gas block. Bare hand C-clamped right over the suppressor, 120rds of supers with FRT got warm but not uncomfortable. I’m sure at some point it does get uncomfortable but 4 mags is a pretty decent string. 1.5” od suppressor leaves enough room for Mlok screws on this 1.72” id rail.

YMMV if you run a different caliber or suppressor diameter. But if you want a tucked suppressor you’ll enjoy shooting, then you want a slimmer can with 300blk.

50 shades of ODG

Coming from a Sig Tango MSR 1-6.. this thing is incredible. Can’t wait to get it to the range and get it dialed in

KAK has one but it’s never in stock. Anyone have a suggestion for 8” with 1:5 to replace my 1:7? I can cut down a longer barrel but I’d prefer not to. It must be 8”.. 7.5 won’t work and 8.3 won’t work
