What happened to my volume?

So I was jamming great and all at sound levels I was nervous if the sound through my monitors was gonna wake my baby. I tried to do an amp capture using my Suhr Reactive loadbox, was sketching me out and confusing me so I stopped. Now at volume 100 on my quad cortex it’s fairly quiet where it wasn’t before. What happened?

Should I use both my Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 and Allen & Heath CQ18T for recording home demos?

So I’m going to be making home demos of my songs. I have the Allen & Heath CQ18T mixer/interface but I also have a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4. I originally got the A&H off of a recommendation that I could record my drums with it directly into my CPU. I had a Sales engineer tell me yesterday that he wouldn’t recommend using it for recording drums cause of the quality or the preamps. I also was going to plug my Suhr IR loadbox into it and Vocals and possibly Quad Cortex into it for workshopping these demos. I don’t have the funds for a new interphase at the moment but would I be better off using the A&H for drums and using the Focusrite 4i4 for vocals and guitar and bass?

Another pointless, subjective, request, opinions on black or white tuners

So my Core McCarty I got in a trade for some stuff that wasn’t getting as much love, came with the white plastics and tuners. I have a thing for black plastics on natural wood guitars. So I ordered black plastics but should I get all black tuners as well? Personally I’ve felt all black tuners wouldn’t fit my tastes but they do look pretty cool on this PRS. But I also like the white tuners equally, I play Grunge, Funk, Hard Rock, Classic rock and I feel black tuners for once actually don’t make this guitar look too metal which isn’t what I’m going for. Problem is I’d have to get a set of Phase 3 Tuners if I actually did want it to be black. Anyways what’s your opinions? I’m really torn

Favorite analog (or has analog dry through) Phaser or flanger pedal and why

Anybody play with the AFG1 by Asheville? Also looking into Airborn Flanger by Krozz. Camoflange MK2 is also on the list by Thorpy. Got rid of my Mobius cause it wasn’t working with the Wet/Dry setup

PRS lovers, hoping to be informed of this is a true Mcarty

Getting offered a trade, and wanted to make sure this guitar is legit, I believe it to be but it’ll be my first PRS so hoping to ask more experienced PRS fans. It’s advertised as a 2024 PRS MCARTY - 10 TOP TIGER EYE FINISH. He has it listed for $3500 but It’ll be a trade so I don’t know how important that information is

Would you trade a Soldano SLO 30 for an EVH Stealth 50 and 825$

So for context, I have a Friedman BE Deluxe 100 which is my main, and an Orange Rockerverb 50 mkiii and Soldano SLO 30. Someone has offered a trade for the SLO 30 which I had for sale for 2000$, because I found as amazing as the overdrive channel is for raw chord stuff, I find the amp to be sluggish like wielding a sledgehammer for my Hard Rock-funk style of playing. Was offered a EVH stealth and 825$ (which would get me out of gear debt) wanted to know if it was a good deal. I was going to try out the Soldano 100 cause I wanted a tighter more responsive low end, but figured, the EVH could give me possibly a similar tone when dialed in for studio sounds, and I wanted to get a bigger boy anyways, I’ll take a 50. What are your guys thoughts

Any recommendations for a more single coil sounding Les Paul Neck Pickup

So I have a Gibson Les Paul Supreme (Koa Top) with 500K Pots and it came with Sugarbucker pickups (Vintage Voiced, 7.5K-7.8K resistance/Alnico 4 Magnets). The bridge is very balanced and articulate which is cool for I play Classic Rock-Hard Rock, call it Grunge, and it handles gain pretty well with my Friedman BE Deluxe and Orange Rockerverb. The neck pickup though is so dull and warm, even when split, which is awesome for solos, but I do miss the cut, attack, and clarity I get on my Tele’s neck pickup for riffs. Even coil split it just lacks the attack I’m used to. I get a Les Paul is a Les Paul but if I could get that hard funk riffage going on, on my Les Paul this would be my favorite guitar hands down. I’ve dialed in the heights as well, as adjusted pole pieces (this picture was prior to that) but just seems like it’s the nature of the pickups. Any suggestions for single coil, humbucker sized pickups? P90s would be cool too to keep the Gibson tradition going, the ones I’ve played were more narrow and midrangey then I was used to but I haven’t played many at all. I’m open to all suggestions (P90,different humbucker, single coil HB sized etc.) but definitely want something with more attack, clarity, spank and airiness with percussive nature. Have seen stuff for Fralins single coil humbucker sized pickups, open to any and all suggestions. And just to get it out of the way, yes I have a Fender Tele and a Strat, and to reword in a better way, I’m okay and would love if it did sound different than those guitars, but I need percussive attack, with a cutting edge to it, that’s all I’m after
