We’re gonna get Emma in this at some point, right?

We’re gonna get Emma in this at some point, right?

I’m pretty optimistic about Marvel’s Midnight universe, and Midnight X-Men looks really good and I’m glad to have Hickman back to write this and he wrote a pretty damn good Emma during the early days of Krakoa imo.

If the X-Men of Midnight don’t fight for acceptance, I can see the Hellfire Club somehow being the ones working towards that goal of mutants and humans coexisting, which would naturally bring them into conflict with X-Men.

I also really think this could be an awesome chance to bring in more Kitty and Emma. If the X-Men are more morally ambiguous in this, I could see Kitty choosing to go to the Massachusetts Academy and maybe becoming Red Queen of the Hellfire Club.

There’s a lot I’m looking forward to with Midnight, and I really hope Emma is done Justice. Whether she’s full villain or just anti-hero, I can’t wait to see her.

Have we been reading the same thing? [Ultimate Endgame #4 SPOILERS]

I swear people are going way too nuts about Cap dying in Endgame #4. From the moment I saw Cap on page and Vision saying how his mental state has deteriorated since killing Bucky in Ultimates #22 I knew he was a goner.

There’s also Ultimates #12, “Something to die for if need be” and then in Ultimates #22 he kills Bucky, it was obvious to me. And y’all, he still went out fighting all day. Even after his arm is cut off he still went into fight Captain Britain.

There’s also some sudden hate now for Deniz since this release, are we genuinely forgetting Ultimates? Or even over at DC with Absolute Martian Manhunter? That has not slowed down at all and he continues to prove he is an excellent writer with both books. While I was personally a little confused with Ultimates #23 (because of how it was formatted), I definitely saw why people thought the story was great.

Ultimate Endgame is the out liar, and even then it’s enjoyable. It’s not anything like Ultimate Wolverine, where it actually is torture porn. Peter and Steve’s death served an actual purpose to the story, especially Steve’s death. Peter’s death is still debatable, but it was obvious.

I’ve also seen people say “Bold move to kill off characters we’ve grown attached to for two years” guys. I want to remind you this is all ending, if the character dies it should at least serve a role in the story and fit the characters, and that’s how I saw Steve’s death. He fought until his last breath, he died for this cause as he said they will at least try to give people something to die for.

Say all you will, I say Ultimate Endgame is still enjoyable despite its flaws and everything else surrounding it (aka literally just Ultimates) has been great still.

Pretty self explanatory. It’s the mandatory talk that all relationships have, whether it be their friends, their parents, hell just their ex if we’re crazy. It’s an old trope, but a classic for a reason, great way to show someone’s care for one character while also reaffirming or dooming the relationship.

So which of your ships would you toss to the wolves? Or I guess more accurately tossing them to the very caring loved ones who will hurt them back if they hurt their friend/child. Have fun!!
