I (29)F have been single for a while now between focusing on my career, finishing school, and just navigating the fun chaos of life, I’m finally ready to start seeing people again. It’s been years though, so I’m a little rusty!

How can I flirt with a man subtly? Help a girl out! I should also mention that I’m practicing chastity until marriage, so I’m just looking for normal, low-key flirting tips, nothing too risky. I guess more or so easy ways to show a guy that i have interest when they try talking to me. Unfortunately, i feel like i come off as cold or not interested atm.

Can a sibling sponsor us for U.S. citizenship? My sister is 22 and a USC, is she able to petition for me to become one as well?

Like the title says, I logged in but nothing is showing the system seems to be down. However, I did check the API and as of today (6/16) it shows activity for the first time since my biometrics appointment back in January. I submitted in late December, so hopefully this is a good sign. Anyone else seeing the same?

Not sure if this is weird, but I’ve been single for the past 5-6 years. My last relationship ended in 2019, right before the pandemic, i’m in my late 20s and since then I’ve gone on dates here and there but nothing that turned into anything real.

At first, the loneliness hit hard. But over time, you adapt. You get used to doing things alone, going places alone — and somewhere along the way, you actually start enjoying it. You make your own schedule. You answer to no one. I’ll sometimes lose my phone for hours and not even notice, because there’s no one I’m texting constantly (except my parents and siblings, but even then, there’s no pressure to respond right away).

Here’s the thing though — I’m not anti-love. Not even close. I genuinely love love. I get giddy when my friends find happy relationships. I read love stories, watch rom-coms, and root for every couple I know. I Love is beautiful and I want it for everyone around me. I sometimes even want it for myself.

I’ve just… grown content. If it happens for me, amazing. If it doesn’t, I think I’ll be okay with that too.

Is that weird? Is anyone else here actually at peace with being single?

I’m noticing water seeping up between my wooden floorboards and suspect I may have a leak somewhere. Not 100% sure of the cause yet, but wanted to reach out before it gets worse.

A few questions:

1. Is this something a plumber would handle, or should I be calling someone else (water damage specialist, etc.)?

2. Does anyone in the Garland/Richardson area have a plumber they’d recommend?

So I finally caved and tried the API tracker. I submitted in December 2025 and went to my biometrics appointment in early January. But according to the API, my application is stalled due to an FTA0 (Failure to Appear Event) even though I absolutely showed up. How accurate is this API anyway? Should I contact USCIS to make sure they actually received my biometrics?

Long story short — my work permit expired on 4/30 and I’ve been on leave since then. HR told me I’d be placed on unpaid leave until I can provide my new valid EAD card. However, I just received a direct deposit from my employer, which was unexpected. It’s only about half of my normal paycheck, and I’ve been out for two weeks now. Any thoughts? I’m confused since I was told the leave would be unpaid — wondering if they may have applied my vacation or sick time to cover a week or so.
