I kind of already know the answer to this. I feel like they probably didn't want an entirely male cast, which of course I understand, but a big plot point revolves around there being no girls? I've only seen the first six or so episodes of the TV show so let me know if they change that obviously. I had a few of the episodes on DVD as a kid. I'm a huge fan of the book and the film, and I did like what I saw of the TV show but I also heard it goes in a very unique direction.

I want to preface this by saying I HATE generative AI. It's bad for the environment, it looks cheap and nasty and it's just lazy when real artists or creators can do the job much better.

To get to the point of the post, I (27F) work in content creation and social media management, and have done for about six years now. I recently left my last job and started at a small company in my city (the North of England) and have been there about three months. The people are nice, it's a much nicer pace than my old job, which was slowly killing me, and it's fairly easy.

We manage household appliances and repairs - I film content for their socials and also post information, calls to action, marketing bits, etc. But my boss, who is a lovely guy but clearly slightly clueless, keeps asking me to generate videos of vacuums instead of filming it myself.

I am so against AI that it makes me sick to the stomach. It's not what I was hired for, I have a film degree and can very easily film these things myself, and I just think it's so bad for the environment.
He keeps saying "we can only use the tools we have available", and I get it, but I've told him I'm against AI and he just doesn't listen.

I've not been there very long, I'm on a temporary contract (soon to be permanent if things go well) and I really need the money. I've started donating to Greenpeace as a way to ease my aching soul, but I still just feel awful about the whole thing. What do I do?

Hello all, I'm enjoying looking at this thread as a new follower. I was wondering, do people actually do the "read for read" thing because I'm looking for new content to enjoy but I also have my own book I want to promote. If here isn't the right thread, please direct me in the right direction!
