Pair of wedding bands in progress.

Making these for a friend and his fiance. His signet is 14k, sand-cast, and will have a 3mm flush set aquamarine in the top right corner of the face. Hers is 14k, hand hammered face with #8 milgrain edges.

WIP paper clip chain bracelet in 16g sterling square stock

Chains are my least favorite pieces to make, but always a labor of love. Only had 3 weak solder joins break, out of 23 links!

Mexican Silver Books

From what I gather online, there only seem to be exhorbitantly expensive catalogues/books for Mexican silver pesos (ie. $45+ for the Whitman prestige coin book). Can anyone suggest anything more reasonable?

Cast wedding band

Fine silver wedding band for a friend. Cast first try, which is always such a relief when sand casting...

This studio has been a long work-in-progress

I've been smithing since 2017, achieved my second bachelors degree in Metalsmithing in 2018, and have had several iterations of "studio space", but this studio shed is the culmination of many years of "slumming it", and I can't thank my wife enough for making it happen. We had the shed installed in the backyard, after much hassle. And although it was a joint effort, she did the bulk of the work to build out the inside of the shed, including the insulation, OSB, painting, and flooring, as well as the the shelving and layout. I'm so relieved that it's finally complete, but I'm also feeling a bit stressed/anxious about how nice the space is, and how I need to now do it justice. Still need to decorate a bit, but I have several projects on the docket in the coming weeks! Multiple sets of wedding bands, and obviously some "thank you" jewelry for my wife.

Did some long-overdue organizing.

Before, and after.

This is about 2/3 of the way through, and I still have a ton of fractional silver and small constitutional to get through. But it had to get done. Still also need to organize my Mexican silver and encapsulate a few more libertads.

None of this "organization" is perfect/elegant, but I did remove about 200 poly bags from the equation...

Thicc additions

Some newly acquired thicc bois! I'm very annoyed that the 10oz don't fit in traditional 10oz bar capsules... what do I do?!

I used to excitedly post my mail calls and state-of-the-stack, and have since unfortunately lost everything I had in a tragic boating accident, but now I'll legit afraid to post new acquisitions online, given the geopolitical climate and the growing fear that the U.S. "empire" might be on the precipice of demise.

Curious about everyone's (mostly U.S. citizens residing in the U.S.) thoughts on whether or not to continue stacking, or selling off at the next peak, etc.
