Latest Cason Wallace admission could turn season opener into a bloodbath

This is going to be the most intense first game ever witnessed. I feel more confident heading into this matchup. The offensive should be more consistent and healthy and not have 5-6 min gaps of no scoring.

Last attempt at GM

I have tried my best at this trade stuff. If this one is trash I retire. I know there will be picks involved. That is def above my pay grade. I always pick the wrong ones. Just want a thought on assisting the Lakers on a roster move so they can acquire PJ.

Aday Mara Panic

We need to pump the brakes on the Aday Mara panic. Go back and look at Steven Adam’s rookie year. Take and look at the concerns when he came in. I think he turned out fine.

OKC/ Raptors/Hawks/Mavs

Fills a big hole for both teams. Toronto is loaded with forwards. OKC loaded with centers. Thoughts? Had to include the Dort trade to make this one go through.

Sorber?
Mara?

AM I being too hopeful? No clue what to put Mara and Sorber at sure they will be working on a 3 for their game but it will be in garbage time. I don’t feel like we will be bad off this season.

Silence is telling.

Safe to say Jones was the guy and the only guy. If there was a back up plan something would be surfacing by now. It is unfortunate. OKC needs a big wing. I think they will still have same issues vs spurs. Thoughts?

Saddiq Bey

Would this be enough? Another issue he will need to be extended. I have know idea what his next contract would look like.

Addressing the need for wings.

This question is being presented as a learning opportunity. I don’t know all the ins and outs of basketball positions and/or players switching positions. OKC already has Dub at 6’5” 212. Let’s say they sign Spencer Jones 6’7” 220. Topic is 6’7” (in shoes) 200 (frame could handle 220) could he play SF? Is his short arms and issue? Or is it just a no go… too different of a position? If this is all possible does OKC have enough size now to play against the spurs size?

Cason Wallace

Cason Wallace last season really played well in his games while SGA was out.

16.8 points per game
5.6 assists per game
3.5 rebounds per game

27 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists vs. Toronto — his biggest scoring/playmaking game while SGA was out.
23 points, 5 assists vs. Detroit in the following game.
23 points, 4 assists vs. Houston and several games where he handled more primary ball-handler duties.

He shot 42% from in these games. With SGA out it gave him a chance to play more mins. Then he had a similar game when playing 36 mins in game 7, scoring 17 points. He also shot 48% from 3 his last ten games.

Is Wallace going to be another offensive weapon that wasn’t expected? What are realistic offensive outputs if you had to guesstimate his season? Is it a stretch to think 17-18 ppg 4-5 rebounds and a 37% shooter from 3? Of course all NBA defender as well.

Who Would be Most Affected by Potential OKC Thunder-Russell Westbrook Reunion?

If Russ returns then it has to be Topic leaving in a trade…right?

Thomas Sorber Growth Spurt.

"Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti recently revealed that former Georgetown big man Thomas Sorber has grown two inches during the offseason. Drafted 15th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, Sorber now stands 6'11" with an impressive 7'8" wingspan".

This was a X post sent to me by a friend. I can't find an actual quote or article written showing Sam Presti in fact said this. Has anyone else see anything that shows this to be an accurate statement?

This would be great! I really can't wait to see him play.

Thunder fell victim to one of the most underrated heists of NBA offseason

I wonder if Zach Lowe noticed Joe wasn't played much in the playoffs? Their one job is to watch basketball and they fail at that.

Is Size Really an Issue Vs the Spurs?

Team | Position | Player | Height | Weight

OKC | PG | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | 6'6" | 195 lbs

OKC | SG | Cason Wallace | 6'3" | 193 lbs

OKC | SF | Jalen Williams | 6'5" | 211 lbs

OKC | PF | Chet Holmgren | 7'1" | 208 lbs

OKC | C | Isaiah Hartenstein | 7'0" | 250 lbs

OKC AVERAGES | — | — | 6'7.8" | 211.4 lbs

SAS | PG | De'Aaron Fox | 6'3" | 185 lbs

SAS | SG | Stephon Castle | 6'6" | 215 lbs

SAS | SF | Devin Vassell | 6'5" | 200 lbs

SAS | PF | Julian Champagnie | 6'7" | 217 lbs

SAS | C | Victor Wembanyama | 7'3" | 210 lbs

SAS AVERAGES | — | — | 6'7.2" | 205.4 lbs

Size is often brought up by fans as something OKC needs more of to beat the Spurs. Me being one of them. Now that I see the line ups side by side, the size is comparable. So is it the size? Or is it the Spurs the only team OKC must play their A game everytime (outside of health issues)? It seems like the other 28 teams as long as we have 5 active players OKC wins.

The Mara I Keep Waiting For.

This is what I expected to see every game. Also mix in some pick and roll dunks, and occasional rebounds. I feel like he will get there. I didn’t expect him to be as out of shape as he is. Have to fix that first.
