Norethindrone for period delay for wedding?

I’ve been taking it for 10 days in an effort to shift my cycle for my wedding, period was a little too close to wedding day. I have some minor breakouts around my chin but they could be related to a facial. I’m planning on stopping now but am so worried that I’m going to breakout a lot, is it better to just stay on it for three weeks while my breakout are manageable? Any related experience?

In hind sight this wasn’t worth it!

Tipping vendors in Italy?

I’m US based (nyc) where my understanding is that pretty much every vendor gets a tip and as long as the service was not abysmal they get handed a pre-prepared envelope with cash.

Our wedding is in Italy, our planner told me it’s not expected and only appropriate when someone does an outstanding job. I don’t want to spend time during my wedding deciding who did and didn’t do a great job and how much they get and I also don’t want to offend anyone...

Should I prepare tips? For which vendors? Would be very helpful to note the specific $/€ amount that’s appropriate.

Thank you!

Edit: To be clear, I’d rather save money if tipping is truly not at all expected.

[Routine Help] Left 20% glycolic product on my face for way too long…

I stupidly purchased the Neova 20% glycolic exfoliator by accident instead of their peel off mask which I’ve used many times - the packaging is identical! I was also in rush and just not thinking. I got my new purchase in the mail and applied without looking and realized it wasn’t what I thought it was only after about 25 minutes, instruction say to rinse off after 5….

Face is not super red, just on high points on cheekbones. Feel some tingling and slight tightness on my cheeks. I rinsed with cold water after realizing and applied my regular moisturizer.

I regularly use tretenioin and lower percentages of AHAs/BHAs.

How screwed am I and what can I expect in the next few days/weeks. Should I be worried? Have an event coming up in three weeks.

If you’re doing your own candles, test out how long they burn for ahead of time!

Just avoided a potential super embarrassing candle mishap. I purchased a ton of these beautiful Danish mid-century modern candleholders which require thinner, half-inch tapered candles. I ordered a pack of candlestick from Amazon and randomly had the thought to light it just to test out the vibe. It lasted exactly 45 minutes! Not three hours like the burn time is stated in the product details. I was also considering doing our dinner table just by candle light without overhead lighting - we would have been sitting in the dark halfway through dinner had I not decided to light it on a whim.

Is local wine a good welcome gift for a destination wedding?

We’re hosing a wedding in Tuscany and would like to provide a welcome gift – we’re thinking of a handwritten letter to each guest in a nice envelope and a bottle of the local wine per guest (red wine per single guest and bottle of red and prosecco per couple). I’m thinking guests can either choose to drink it during their stay (everyone is staying in one villa for three days) or take it home if they wish. Does it come off cheap to gift alcohol with the expectation that people may drink it on site? We’ll also be stocking the villa with beer, liquor, snacks, and can always buy more wine from the villa.

If this is not a good gift, what’s a better option? I don’t love any sort of tchotchkes and was going to just set up a station with bug repellant/liquid IV in a common area.

We’re paying for accommodation.

Edit: May also be annoying for guests that don't have room to take it home and don't want to finish it during their stay...

Ukrainian Bakery in Rome?

Any Ukrainians on this sub that know of a Ukrainian/eastern european bakery? We are looking for a korovai (ornate Ukrainian bread) for a wedding ceremony.

Thank you!

Dinner in Tuscany lit only by candle light?

I’m seeing some photos online of dinner table lit only by a ton of candles as opposed to overhead string lights…has anyone done this and is this a terrible idea?

There will be light coming from a lamp post on either end of the lamp post (long table for 40 people). How many candles would we need on the table? Dinner is in early September from 7pm to 9pm so there’s still some light towards the start. I prefer a more dim dinner vibe but will guest hate it?

Gifts from bride for bachelorette dinner?

I’m having a small destination wedding and am not having bridesmaids and thus was not expecting a bachelorette, my very lovely close circle of friends are getting together and taking me for dinner and dancing locally. Typically I’ve seen brides have some sort of gift for the bridesmaids for a bachelorette trip but those were all destination trips…should I get them a gift of some sort as a thank you? Wondering what the etiquette is here?

I’ll be doing a welcome gift at the wedding for all guests.

Itinerary Advice for Travel with Two Toddlers

My husband, myself, and our two children (2&4) are heading to Italy for a wedding and spending some time in Rome and the Amalfi coast. I’m worried I’m cramming in too much given the heat and two toddlers - any advice on your itinerary below? We are aiming for one activity each day and will fill out the rest of the time with walks, long meals, etc…

8/28: Arrive at 8am and take the train to Sorrento where we are staying.

8/29: Morning at the beach then a Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, and a Wine tasting.

8/30: We hired a private driver to take us through the Amalfi Coast. Possibly looking to drive to Positano or Ravello and spend the day there.

8/31: Day trip to Capri.

9/1: Morning at the beach then travel to Rome via train and settle into Airbnb and explore neighborhood.

9/2: Early Colosseum and Roman Forum guided tour.

9/3: Vatican guided tour early in day.

9/4-9/7: Wedding

9/7-9/9: Drive to Florence, will be exploring the city and gardens

9/9: Drive back to Rome to check in at the airport hotel for an early am flight.

Thank you!

Italian Menu Structure Help

We're getting married in Tuscany and I'm designing some a custom menu for a formal traditional Tuscan style dinner. We are having three separate courses: eggplant parmesan, pasta with white ragu, and then a braised beef cheek - perhaps some locals could advise on the proper way to categorize the plates? There are no options per course, the menu is pre-selected.

Option 1 - this follows our caterer's structure but I'm not 100% sure if it makes sense to have 2 Primi courses...

Primi: Eggplant Parmesan followed by Pici senesi with white ragù and black truffle.

Secondi: Chianina cheek stracotto with potatoes purè.

Dolce: Wedding cake & Sicilian Cannoli.

Option 2 - I feel like this is what I would typically expect in an Italian restaurant though I'm not an expert...

Primi: Eggplant Parmesan .

Secondi*: Pici senesi with white ragù and black truffle*

Carne: Chianina cheek stracotto with potatoes purè.

Dolce: Wedding cake & Sicilian Cannoli.

Which way is right? Or is there another way to do it?
