When the Bookswagon app went down around a week ago, they had over 445 reviews. And the application is still down.

Instead of fixing it they are trying to track down people by searching their Google Play Store account name on their database and then finding their Mobile Number tied to Bookswagon account and calling them to delete the review. Happened to me and another person I know so far. They had over 445 reviews just a week ago or so, now they have 439.

So If you are one of those 450 or so people who have reviewed , don't delete whatever you have said even if they contact you to delete it.

Man the frustration that I can't login for over a week now and over that They are calling me to delete my Review, how low they have fallen. They aren't even fixing the app. Should be review bombed if they don't fix the app. And for breach of privacy.

I've picked Diluc c2 based on upvotes, From Now on I will be looking for Jean from the standard banner or if any standard banner selector comes anytime soon.

Also I've decided to build her better than earlier Now even in her C0, I hope I can have a Heal and dps build soon enough and also the C1.

Before I begin, It's impossible to get your hands on the official kit in India as it costs around 3x more Through JD sports, compared to other popular club official listings so had to go with this one...

Yesterday I received this copy from Amazon (Cocoblu Retail)at 272 inr. While the normal price for this book is around 500. And guess what, the first part of the pages came off. The binding is not done right or probably the book was under extreme stress.

The replacement probably wouldn't come. But that makes me wonder. I spent half the money and I have the original book I wanted to read. For a book that never sees much discounts or gets featured in any Sales. And is not available as " Used" anywhere in India.

If Cocoblu didn't sell it for 270, my chances of getting this book for that price was in negatives

So My question is "Would You buy a book for half the price if it's Listed as Defective but readable"

or something like that.

As a student Paying 500-700 for a thin book is alright for once and for twice, but for the 3rd 4th and 5th time ? It starts getting harder when you want to buy more. For this case I can easily fix that part with glue and the book will be fine.

Someone whose taste has the same kind of availability as me would understand even more that It's either you pay the high price or you don't get the physical book at all, nothing inbetween. No high discounts or no second hand market, nothing. So as I'm on a budget like many other ig.

I'd love some proper online stores for these kinds of books, Bookchor nowadays is a hit or miss. I think these kinds of books will see more sales in India if it's on normal prices like its counterparts.

I mean any new platform they have to make some name for themselves as a rare/niche book seller & importer or something lol.

And Yeah I'm someone who cares about their books and quality but budget always comes kicking inbetween.

Honestly they are the most selling book platform in india and in their biggest sale of the year they're providing it only for books that sell the most or are easy to get your hands on.

I was waiting to see if prices would actually go down or not, and It didn't. Some even get the sale at their usual prices. No point calling it a sale for bookreaders. Cause you will always get a better deal somewhere for books that are already popular. Even decent books that people buy aren't on sale.

I don't know what to say about this. The difference with him compared to Gordon and Isak was that none of the other two said they loved the club so much or had a very special place for them in their heart. It's a long standing debate and apart from a few times I never really had any satisfactory answers as a kid.

I prefer byomkesh cause of its Psychological depth and the way it portrayed emotions Is something I only found in Asian writings. Byomkesh wasn't only a detective as he said himself (truth seeker).

But still apart from that I loved that some Byomkesh stories were pretty niche, things that are too real to digest for many of the mainstream crowds. And stories that show the messed up yet functioning side of the society at that time.

The way he gets into the human side of the characters even the psychology of criminals and why it happened not only how it happened. For that it will always stand higher for me in several aspects.

If someone wants to look for them

So I asked them about this book which they replied to be out of stock. But I didn't check their reply on time and ordered on 19th June.

Later I realised after ordering that they already said the book is out of stock and It was a wrong listing. Then i decided to wait for 2-3 days to see if it gets shipped. But It didn't. Since then for the past 3 days I've been asking them for a refund, but they're just ignoring me every time I ask about it. Like I don't exist.

The worst part is there's no option to cancel from my side and I already want to use this money to add with another of my book purchases. There's no contact number in their website apart from this WhatsApp number.

It was my mistake to fall for their fake listings, gotta be the worst service Out there amongst the 9-10 websites I've used before. Over that they sell Pirated copies lol.

Anyone else with the same experience?

This is the very thing that's so hard to explain to people around us including this subreddit.

Flipkart and Genuine Books are like two sides of a coin, one cannot see the other. And a ton of times I've heard people here getting pirated copies from them and I've personally got pirated copies a few times.

But if you check a few things before buying, you can actually end up getting a Genuine Copy. I've tried and it works for me.

The first thing You need to do is compare Prices with Amazon.

Things Like

1. When Your Book is Underrated or Lesser Known, then you'll see only One Listing In Flipkart and Trust me no seller is Pirating a lesser known book Like "The Village Of 8 Graves" (in pic). Also make sure the price isn't too different than websites like Amazon ( or Bookswagon or Atlantic Books and more).

Sometimes Flipkart has them 40-50rs cheaper when the book is not available on budget in Amazon. For original copies. Then you should go with Flipkart

You'll be clear in that case.

2. When The Book is Popular but flipkart only got one listing then it's a bit safer. You just need to check if the seller has proper ratings and has been a while with Flipkart (Amazing_Buy, Transinfopreneur, Retail Net).

And try to buy from the sellers who got nearby prices with Amazon, for example around 50-100rs less than Amazon depending on the book. Or the sellers have trusted names themselves.

3. The most confusing part, When there are multiple listings of the same book then always go for the version with more reviews amongst the available ones. The one listing with less price difference with Amazon and Most Reviews is what your sweet spot will be.

( For Example Kafka on the Shore is priced at 250 in Flipkart which is by some random seller. Avoid that one. Another one at 323 by some random seller. The listing has only with 23 reviews, Avoid that one also.

But it's also available for 303 in Flipkart under the original Listing with 7.8k reviews. Sold by a trusted seller [Amazing_Buy]. But in Amazon it's 406. So you better go with Flipkart in that case)

4. if you try not to order From random listings then the chances of getting pirated books will decrease by 60-70% I'm certain.

6. Before going to any of these.You just can avoid Flipkart to begin with when you can, that's the best strategy out of these 6 points. I'm not kidding lol.

Do you know starting from 1970's to the late 90's was the Most Active era for serial killers In the US. And trust me nowhere in the world you'd see such an exponential uprising of serial killers rather than that time in US.

Some used to drive through streets looking for people and some even used to follow their patterns to find weak points. And for the most they used to pick up on hitch hikers (Which was really really common and quite trusted at that era before serial killers started hunting).

Written by an ex FBI officer.This book talks about cases that were done by serial killers joining the trucking industry and picking up victims while working as truck drivers. At a time for several years without being caught. In a stretch of highway where there are no houses or buildings for 10's-15's miles.

What patterns they followed how they blended in the trucking industry and what preference they had and more. And the lack of Forensics and Surveillance and no presence of Cellphone worked as anything but a catalyst.

This all sounds spine chilling when you read until it starts donning you that those victims were Breathing Living People who had their lives. Working for something or maybe someone who was working on the Highways (prostitutes).

All to end up in somewhere Remote as a Jane Doe (un indentified women), sometimes sadly so decomposed that their story stayed in cold cases for years before It got solved, and a ton are still unsolved and getting solved every month while the Serial Killer is already convicted from some other killings or dead due to old age.

This is the starting point if someone is interested in knowing about true crime. Knowing or getting interested in it doesn't necessarily mean you wanna become one tho. Humans usually have a tendency towards the strange happenings whether in the past or present.
