Current setup - Profitec Pro 300 + Ceado E37S. Daily use 2-3 light-medium roastespresso and milk drinks, and the US. Had this for 8+ years and thinking about what might be worth upgrading to. Have been curious about a Niche Zero for the low retention but thinking it might be too time consuming. Not sure what espresso machine these days might be worth upgrading to. Other dual boilers, heat exchangers?
The practical thing is for them to move to wherever their adult children are living and working. Wondering if this outdated form of filial piety is still expected in Taiwan society and boomers

Why is this primitive method still used? It is easily susceptible to forgery, theft, improper use by family members. Coupled with the Taiwan ID, others can use it to open / withdraw funds from accounts, buy cars & property, conduct all kinds of serious business.
Edit: ok here's an example - family members of someone living abroad and with BOTH the ID and chop, can do all kinds of official and financial shit with those 2 things. The actual "signatory" does not need to be present because banks, government agencies allow this
We park outside so lots of dirt, pollen, grime etc. Even with a sufficient biweekly car wash, I haven't really been able to clean off the residual grime on these (vinyl?) white racing stripes. Anyone have some good pointers and suggestions? Thanks
Did my 1K mile break in oil change recently. Started noticing this rattle afterwards. Sounds like it is coming from interior, floor, or center console. Has happened in low speed, creep, and reverse. Wastegate, loose oil pan, trim?
I need to get this button off so I can remove the plate and unscrew the door handle. I tried sticking a small thin screwdriver and allen wrench into the pinhole in the front but it did not work.
I am new to all this, just got a 40" Tikka T3x, no scope yet, just iron sights. How did I do, for first time shooting this rifle bench rest, at just 25 yards? What's next, am I ready to try 50 yards next time, or still need more work at 25? Should I start to think about getting a scope, or keep practicing with iron sights until some level of accuracy / precision?

I got the CSR almost 10 years ago when the gravy was good, downgraded 5 years ago to CSP when they made major changes and price hikes. My current setup is CSP, Amex Gold, and a Costco Citi card. I’ve really only consistently redeemed CSP/R UR for Hyatt and Amex MR for Hawaiian/Alaska (until that ended). I clip the coupons on both cards like a good boy. I checked and I am NOT eligible for the current CSR 150k SUB because I had the card before and received some kind of SUB back then. Also near a United hub but I’ve never found good redemptions there
