This subreddit has no changes made from its original default reddit design. Upon first entering, it looks like it's completely dead and forgotten. Once you start reading the dates of the threads you realize there is a lot of life here, but the mods have done little to provide for that community. There's no banner, no pinned threads on new episodes, no link to the official 24/7 livestream on Youtube, nothing. There's 7 mods... come on guys, you can do some work to give this subreddit the look and feel that it deserves.

cbc.caIs there any hope for my friends dad regarding an abandoned flat?
My friend's dad owned a flat near Constanta but hasn't visited, seen or checked up on it in well over 10 years. Officially he is still the owner but is being very non-chalant about it and thinks the property's value is nearly the same as the early 90s and think it's not worth his time. I am trying to encourage my friend who lived in Romania during her early years to get those affairs in order before his health conditions get much worse and she can at least inherit it later. They are a single mom and can definitely use the money to fund the children's education instead of it being completely lost and abandoned. The lack of care on her father's part is shocking. She jokes that there's probably some stranger living there now and wouldn't know where to start to get all of this handled properly. Is there anything I can do or say to convince her otherwise?
Question about 1940s era marriage arrangements
It’s come to my attention that my grandma was subject to an arranged marriage approved by her father. It was treated as a business transaction by the father and husband which was apparently common for the time period in rural life. However, my grandfather was not entirely an honest individual and the agreed assets and gifts were never delivered to the father or daughter, they were essentially tricked and lied to, yet the marriage went through anyway. How could this be and why was the marriage not annulled? I can’t ask them because they have both passed away and my mom refuses to talk about anything related to the past.
