Liu Shaoqi being criticized during the cultural revolution for a 1950s plan to destroy the Forbidden city

A Cultural Revolution Magazine published by the city planning bureau of Beijing called 《城市规划革命》- The Revolutionary City Plan in 1967. The magazine criticizes in great detail the 1950s plans for the Forbidden City. The article is called “The shady plan to Reconstruct the Forbidden City Exposed” is a fascinating peek into the discussions that took place around the Forbidden City in the early years of the Peoples Republic. In the magazine, a layout of the proposed plan for the Forbidden City is shown. In this drawing the Tiananmen Gate as we know it is gone. It has instead been replaced with a building in the same style as the Great Hall of the People. In fact, it makes it clear that the Great Hall of the People and the National Museum of China which stand in Tiananmen Square today were only one part of an even bigger plan, the rest of which was never completed.

The article is a direct attack on the former CCP leader Liu Shaoqi. The plan of placing the government inside the Forbidden City is seen as proof of Liu Shaoqi’s alleged scheming to overthrow Mao. Liu is mockingly portrayed as an emperor — according to The Revolutionary City Plan, he planned to take up office right where the old Imperial throne hall was, and still is today. This move would be justified by tumbling over the Imperial throne and installing a statue of a worker pointing a gun alongside it.

How come Japanese police always show up at protests in Japan?

Why do Japanese police show up and block off demonstrators in Japan even if they're non violent and small? When I see protests in the US or Europe I don't see the police around unless there's violent riots. Does Japan have strict laws about demonstration?

Is there trolls online that are trying to destroy your country within?

In Vietnam hostile forces, reactionary elements, and political opportunists have continuously propagated arguments advocating for Vietnam to implement "political pluralism" and "multi-party opposition" under the guise of democracy and human rights. However, these are irrational and unscientific viewpoints that contradict the historical reality of Vietnam and deny the leading role of the Communist Party of Vietnam – the decisive factor in all the victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

Is there a policy that your country wants that you don't want?

For me I don't understand and like the idea of reunification with Taiwan and I would consider myself a nationalist. I dont think there's anything important to taiwan economically or culturally. I don't want to inherit angry people that would constantly try to undermine us from within. Taiwan was infact the least important part of Chinese history and wasn't even relevant to China until the 17th century while all Chinese culture and states originated on the yellow river 2,000 years before that. Now our government is trying to rehabilitate the former Kuomintang party as a ally when their rule was caused this situation in the first place. It would also be a waste of our money spending to keep taiwan with China when they would likely be the least patriotic people. I am happy with the land and government we have and wouldn't trade it for reunification with taiwan.
