Minivan Mayhem

I was driving back to my office from Superior, CO when the gray Honda odyssey decided to just blast over to the exit at the last second.

First Purrs

I’ve had Thaddeus Pigadeus ( Pig + Amadeus) for 15 days and tonight he did this and started audibly purring 🥰

Keep him alive 💜

Play his music loud, cry while watching his videos, treat others and yourself like he would.

This world needs more love, so let’s keep spreading all of his.

I attempted to permanently clock out in ‘24 but ended up calling 911 on myself. When I was in the hospital another patient played “Miracle Man” and it hit home considering I got told my ex wife of almost 8 years decided to divorce me over my mental illness.

Now, I have a new partner and we started dating right after Oliver released Fuck The Whole World and we made it our song.

Just like we remember how Ritchie Valens died 67 years ago in a plane crash and keep playing La Bamba, let’s keep blasting our favorite Oliver Tree songs loud and proud.

He’s still here, spreading his positivity and love through us. Remember him, be kind, and share smiles. We all have our own pains that others don’t know about, and by sharing a bit of joy with others we can help them through their tough times more than we realize.

You are loved, you are important, and you are here for so many wonderful reasons, fuck the haters, and live a life filled with joy.

3.5 Ecoboost versus the 5.0 Coyote. Plus Bonus 8th Gen Pic!

I come from a Ford family, growing up we always had at least one F-150 in the driveway and nothing but good memories of them.

I own a 2016 F-150 Limited with the 3.5L and it does have a tune to bump it up to the 375 hp/470 tq of the 17-20s and a 6 speed behind it. My grandpa (I was raised by my grandparents) has a 2019 XLT with the 5.0 and the 10 speed.

From a driving perspective, I love my 3.5. It has mountains of torque, gets great fuel mileage even though I’m running 11.50x35-20s, and the most annoying thing it’s done was send me on a chase over a bad cam position sensor. I tow with it and use it off road to get to job sites and it’s been rock solid even at 203,000 miles / 326,500 km.

However, when I drive my Grandpa’s 5.0, I can’t get over how smooth it is. It feels like it just wants to constantly pull even under light throttle, and the times we’ve towed comparable
weight trailers (around 6,000 lbs/2,700 kgs) they’ve felt the same. It also gets great fuel mileage and hasn’t had any issues either, but his has 58,000 mi / 93,300 km.

Has anyone gone from a 3.5 to a 5.0 or the other way around? What have your experiences been with your trucks?

Picture is of my Grandpa and I in 1993 and I’m carrying a pail with his thermos and random items out to his 1989 F-150 (custom ordered XLT Lariat, 300 Six, 5 speed) before his 5 days at work.

Russian Made “Junior” .22 LR

I found 20 boxes of this buried in my grandpa’s safe/reloading room and he vaguely remembers buying them for next to nothing but they wouldn’t feed in any of his .22 automatic target pistols so he stashed them away.

Can anyone tell me roughly when these would have been made? I’ve found a decent amount of info about the steel case variants but not much on these brass ones.

A Rare CD-i Find

I was in my favorite mom and pop game store, buying a few more titles for my Sega Saturn collection, when I spotted this near immaculate set of The Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon in their rare games case. If anyone’s interested, he also has a couple of CD-is in stock that are in really good condition as well.

I picked these two up for a song today.

I spotted these in my local mom and pop game store and snagged them up. I’ve never experienced Tomb Raider on the Saturn… and I’m a sucker for some FMV action.
