Like clockwork around 45 minutes to an hour after almost every feed, he starts crying and gets really fussy—it’s almost impossible to console him until we hear him poop. Once he does, he normally settles, but this could take 20-30 minutes or more.

We burp him after feeds and attempt holding him in different positions (gently bringing knees to chest, etc.) to relieve gas pains and encourage a poop before it gets to the inconsolable point but nothing seems to work — not consistently at least.

Any ideas on what we can do? We hate seeing him like this 🥺

For reference baby is 5 weeks and I either breastfeed him or my husband feeds him a bottle of pumped milk.
