Ham, cooler, 10 hours??

Hi all, I am curious about this. I had ham (already opened deli ham) in a cooler with some ice packs, other fridge items and some frozen veggies in a cooler for about 10 hours on a roadtrip. On one hand, it's a really long time and I didn't know (until now) that I could/should validate temps. On the other hand, the gel-ice packs were not fully melted when I unpacked the cooler. What's the opinion or if you have any similar experiences? I ate some and then realized oh maybe I shouldn't have. I'm so tired and don't want to be up worrying :/

I only want to soak in it: old jetted bathtub?

Hello,

I'm at an air BNB and I love baths. I REALLY want to take advantage of the opportunity to take a bath, but the sole tub has jets (and not brand new ofc). I know jets get nasty and are nasty. There's no caps for them. Whats the opinion on just soaking in the tub not running the jets? How bad/gross is that? Im a woman I don't want an infection loll

thank you for your thoughts!

Did anybody else have the soap confetti?

I'm an adult now and I'm not very interested in American girl dolls HOWEVER....

I remember having this Christmas item, it was a plastic ball ornament filled with confetti bath soap. It smelled amazing, like so good I've never forgotten the smell. I wish I could smell it again lol. Thank you for listening

Leaving out the area code in phone numbers

I'm an American. A lot of Americans move around a lot in their lifetime. I don't know every phone number area code (first three digits of phone number). I forget which ones are for which cities I've lived in. Worst of all, my job has an internal emergency number without the area code listed!! Like I'm sorry I didn't grow up here but during an emergency I DEFINITELY would want the whole phone number!! I passed a restaurant sign yesterday and they skipped the first three numbers too! Like this city has a LOT of out -of-towners who now need to Google shit before ordering take out, because you couldn't be bothered to put three more numbers on the sign? Whyyy I hate it

Just could use some encouraging words

Hi all,

This group seems really lovely. I'm just having a hard day. In general, I'm functioning well and I'm happy. Lately it's been a bit harder because of life being stressful etc, but last night I got like 1 hour of sleep. I'm pure exhausted. And extremely no good feeling. I need to relax to at least feel better or sleep, and I need to sleep. I also feel pretty down on myself for constantly not being normal. I always wish I was more normal. Even though I like who I am generally... it's so hard to be so anxious

edit: I guess let me share something positive while I'm here. even though I was feeling horrible, I went to a friend's house and had some fun. i had to leave because I got worse (I mean. one hour of sleep will do that) but, I did something I wanted to do in spite of fear.

Encouragement or timeline for slynd nausea?

Hi all

I just started Slynd after being very nervous to take it for a while. I am on day 6 and had no side effects at all until yesterday. Now I am dealing with pretty severe nausea, and I'd just like to ask for some words of encouragement, or personal experiences specifically regarding slynd nausea and when it goes away or gets better?? 🥲

Some context because I am a context-craver myself:

I have strong OCD and anxiety during PMDD. I'm not at expected Pmdd time yet. I am sleeping well, no mental effects I can tell, hungry a lot. I am 27F, mild chronic fatigue-haver. Zofran is working but I can tell I'm not 100% good haha

Hi all,

For those of you with experience with fatigue or burnout, is there a way I can keep working but still recover/make things better? I'm doing everything I can think of to slow/reverse it but I need more ideas, I don't think anything is working. For context, I am not being overworked, I already struggled with fatigue. I am just working "hard", but I never work more than 8 hrs a day these days. I have some ability to be flexible with my schedule.

My efforts so far have been:

1day a week from home (this isn't always possible but I just started implementing it and I think it helps)

Not doing absolutely everything I can do everyday , pacing myself

Eating a snack at 2-3pm

Hydrating

I would like to start taking small breaks throughout the day but sometimes I forget.

It took me MINUTES to realize this didn't say ILNP and that this wasn't redditlaqueristas and I was just struggling to understand what they were trying to say about ILNP 😭
