Anyone else so tired from the week that they don't have the energy to make plans?

I have a pretty demanding job. I get dinner or drinks with friends once during the work week, maybe twice, but I'm always so exhausted by the time Friday rolls around that I realize I didn't even make plans for the weekend. Then, when I go to text people, they often already have their plans set for the weekend... so I sort of end up solo more weekends then none.

Any advice on how to fix this? (other than the obvious which is try to make plans earlier in the week) Like maybe I'm missing some kind of social skill that sets me up to receive invites from people so the weekend planning doesn't always fall on me.

Is it weird to only have ever had 1 bf?

31F here - today I realized I haven't dated anyone seriously in like 6 years. Prior to that, I had one longterm boyfriend in my early 20s... but that's it. Literally only had 1 boyfriend ever.

How common or uncommon is this? To be clear, I'm open to a serious relationship but just haven't found the right person I guess. I just need advice on if I need to jump and take more serious action to date someone so I'm not considered "weird" ... or if it's fine to keep waiting.

Endless online submissions and nearly zero bites

I'm 32F with a really strong resume (large tech companies & startups) and have submitted probably 35 resumes within the past month with nearly zero bites. I've been given internal referrals from friends at big companies (ex: Google) and still no luck. Is it possible that I'm not framing my resume correctly? (I use Chat & Claude to optimize the resume for each JD)

I'm qualified for the roles I'm applying for, just wondering if my resume somehow isn't standing out to get flagged for an initial screening at least.

It's bizarre! How long does it usually take to start interview processes these days? What am I doing wrong? Help!

Been working on a side project called Chances — it helps you quickly see interesting things happening nearby.

I originally built it because I kept running into the same problem:

  • traveling to a new city and not knowing what’s going on
  • realizing on Friday night I made zero weekend plans
  • wanting to do something spontaneous without digging through 5 different apps

We just added a live map view that shows events around you, which makes the whole “find something nearby right now” experience a lot more fun.

The app is free to use. I’d genuinely love feedback on:

  • the concept
  • features that would make it more social/fun
  • whether this solves a real problem for you

Happy to answer questions about the build, design decisions, etc.

Like what caused you to realize that you were in love? Was it a specific moment or something that was said?

I've been in love once before, about 10 years ago, and I think I realized it in the quiet hours of the morning. That period of time when you're in between sleep and being fully awake, when the sun hasn't yet risen and you find comfort and safety under the covers, when the only thing you focus on is the feeling, touch, and peaceful presence of the person next to you.

Curious what people have been arrested for and what that experience was like. Also how did that impact your ability to keep or get another job?

30F - My best friends and I have known each other since kindergarten and have remained equally close throughout the years. They're more like my family members at this point. I feel our relationship is rare to have remained so strong, and I know that we'll have this close bond for the rest of our lives.

Is this super unique? I don't know many other people that have best friends since they were 5 years old.

Do most people sublease a place when they first move to NYC? My idea is to start out with that because A) the full lease requirements are insane and B) I'm not sure which neighborhood I want to commit to long-term. Anyone else experienced this? Any advice for a new 29M?
