What would you do to fulfill these requirements without deluding yourself?

This is a quote from Robert Anton Wilson's "Cosmic Trigger."

"[I recommend against trying Crowley's] more advanced techniques without (a) being in excellent health, (b) being competent in at least one athletic skill, (c) being able to conduct experiments accurately in at least one science, (d) having a general knowledge of several sciences, (e) being able to pass an examination in formal logic and (f) being able to pass an examination in the history of philosophy, including Idealism, Materialism, Rationalism, Spiritualism, Comparative Theology, etc.

"Without that kind of general knowledge and the self-confidence and independence of thought produced by such study, magick investigation will merely blow your mind. As Brad Steiger has said, the lunatic asylums are full of people who naively set out to study the occult before they had any real competence in dealing with the ordinary."

Specifically c, d, e, and f.

Do you walk through people's lawns?

I hate how houses are designed where you have to walk up the driveway and then along the entire house to get to a door that most people don't even use. I want to just walk through their lawns straight from the van to the door, but I know people don't like that. What do you do?

What type are you, and do you wish you were a different type?

I'm a 9 and I'm jealous of 4s. I wish I had a unique identity.

Edit: Interesting that so far no one would change their type. I'm surprised.

How does Shia LaBeouf have such good style?

I know people have realized this for awhile now, but I'm just always blown away by how every fit of his is sooo good. How does he do it? I've copied some of his fits bc I know I'll never be able to create my own unique style lol

How huge of a responsibility is actually discovering your True Will?

Because once you know then you know exactly what you should be doing. Also, that involves doing things which might be really hard or even terrifying. You might not like what you find when you discover your True Will.

I just don't get it. I'm clueless.

I just don't get life. I started saying I'm clueless to my coworker and she finished saying it before I did. So apparently other people notice too. I don't get it and I don't know why. If I knew why I could explain better. But I don't so I can't. I'm 31 working a dead end job. I never finished university bc I didn't know what to do. I still don't.

I keep getting rescued. How can I go faster?

I genuinely don't know how to get through my routes any faster. I just started a few weeks ago and I've started getting longer routes, and I had to get rescued my last 3 shifts. It's not like I'm on my phone or intentionally going slow or whatever.

I'm considering going into an architecture master program after my undergrad. When should I start working on a portfolio?

My undergrad is in physics, so I won't have any art/design projects under my belt. I am into photography, but only very casually. This path isn't set in stone, but I would like to be prepared if I do decide to go forward with architecture. Is a year of preparation enough time?

Go to community college in 8 weeks, or wait until next fall?

So I plan on going back to school. But I need calculus and physics for my degree. I have already taken Calc III and Physics I, but it's been over 10 years since I've taken these classes, so I need a refresher. I could cram for the next 8 weeks, or spend the next year doing the same but in a more sustainable way. I'm scared if I went back this fall I'd be overwhelmed by the coursework. I was a notoriously bad student last go around, so I'm leaning towards taking a year to slowly build a solid study habit.

I've tried doing too much too soon too many times to count; it doesn't work for me. Plus, I just started a full time job after having not worked for several months.

But there's also the option of going part time, which might be the best option. I could just take gen ed classes part time this fall.

What do you think?

I'm preparing for taking Calc I again. Should I start with Pre-Calc or start at the beginning with Pre-Alg?

I've already taken Calc III, but that was over 10 years ago, so of course I've forgotten everything. In your opinion, should I start at the beginning with review and workbooks, or just get a pre-calc textbook and work through that?

Does bedrock have all the same blocks as java now?

I played bedrock years ago and it didn't seem to have all the blocks I saw some YouTubers building with. Specifically plants. Is this still the case? I want to do some village builds and plants add a lot of decoration.

Is it possible that I'm not dumb but I just never learned to think?

I was told I was smart as a kid in school. And my reaction to this was to shut my mind off because I thought I could "get by on being smart." I basically, for the most part, never learned anything after that. And so I fell victim to the dunning kruger effect, thinking I was competent at everything despite that not being true whatsoever.

Now that I'm aware of all of this, when I talk to people and actually listen to them and try to get where they're coming from, I'm constantly struck by the realization that I could never come up with what they're saying. What I mean is, if you were to talk to me irl, it's like talking to a wall. I have nothing to say and no opinions because I don't know how to think or engage with everyday life. Or something. Idek anymore.

I mean, despite all of this I still did well on the ACT/SAT and got into a competitive university, so I must have *some* level of potential, right? Idk man. Lmk if this belongs on r/iamverysmart

Is it worth going back to school at 31 without a long-term plan?

I'd like to get a degree in physics, but I have no plan for what I'd do after. All I know is that I'm not good at much, but I am good at math/physics and I enjoy being good at it. What do?
