Did anyone else get the email about their ML08 order?

We're very sorry for keeping you waiting.

We originally planned to ship your order as soon as this batch arrived. However, during our final quality inspection, we found that some details did not meet our quality standards.

To make sure every customer receives a product that meets our expectations, we returned this batch to the factory for rework.

Today, the factory informed us that the repaired batch will also need to go through another production and quality inspection process, which means the shipping time will likely be longer than we originally expected.

To avoid keeping you waiting any longer, would it be okay if we processed a full refund for you first?

Once the watches are back in stock, we'll let you know right away, and you can then decide whether you'd like to place a new order.

How do y'all feel about quasi-allies?

I'm talking about people that make statements like:

"I'm fine with trans people as long as they don't invade my space."

or

"I have some trans friends, some of the nicest people that I know. Now, I admit I don't understand what they're doing, but they're great friends."

To me, it's just annoying AF to have to be asterisked. I'd rather people like that not saying anything at all. I'd rather be accidentally deadnamed by a longtime friend every now and then than be placed in a category with an asterisk.

New Arrival - Baltany S4098

I wanted to get something unique or unusual in one of the recent sales. I swapped out the black strap for a brown leather as it was just too much black. It's not really for telling the time at a glance, but I'm getting a lot better at being able to tell the time after a second or two.

Movement Shortage Discussion

I ran across this new video by Horologique https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLyA-ud0NRY . What's your opinion? Personally, I've never been one of those to advocate for HAQ watches, but I think I might be changing my opinion. Additionally, I'm all for more PT5000 and 2130s as long as its a bit cheaper than we have been used to with Miyota 9 series powered watches. As far as the Miyota 8-series is concerned - I'm fine with it as long as the watch doesn't have to be too thick.

Finally found a good candidate for the CW Tide strap

I picked up this Tide strap years ago for 50% off, to wear on my CW C60 Trident White. It never went great with the watch for some reason. I think it works with the Aurora though!

Nice little pickup on eBay

I had been checking WatchDives' site every now and then to see if this colorway/dial size would ever come back in stock, as it seemed like a great deal. I found it on eBay listed for around $43, but was able to pick it up for $33. It arrived in near-mint condition, and it definitely doesn't disappoint.
