Has anyone ever volunteered with the Hamilton animal services?

Or with the spca? If you volunteer for lobby or greeter or pet thrift store etc do you as a volunteer get a chance to actually pet and take care/feed of any of the animals? Or are your duties strictly outside of that area? Is there any other animal volunteering in Hamilton that you would recommend?

Japans coach bowing to the team and fans immediately and taking the blame for their performance yesterday should set an example for Myungbo.

Whereas myungbo shows zero regret or upset about anything that happened. He’s probably happy he got his money and is retiring.

Seung Gyu: Team mates just found out about benching Son and the lineups right before the game the day of.

South Africa vs Korea. Absolutely disgusting of HMB to let the team know about this right before the game. Might be part of the reason why the team was so slow and lethargic - what team wouldn’t be down and disappointed with the sudden shocking news of the lineup??? Myungbo resign.

Acorn Set - What to add to skirt?

Finished this set. Skirt is also reversible so the other side is all denim… so can’t really add pockets without the stitching showing on the other side at this point. What should I add to the skirt or do next time? It looks a bit boring and plain or is that just me

McMaster or UofT NP?

Got offers to both universities. Currently live in Hamilton but UofT being almost fully online aside from placements is kind of attractive. McMaster tuitions is significantly cheaper but classes are in person, however placements might be closer unless they are in Niagara.. if you got offers from both where would you go? Insights from current students would be appreciated!

Changed my name that was original letter from Hukamnama will I get bad luck?

The letter A was originally from my hukamnama and my dad named me. My parents got divorced and I’ve been called another Sikh name by my mom (as a nickname) since I was 4 years old until now (I’m 32) but that name doesn’t start with A. I legally changed my name last week to that name because I feel more myself and I want my future colleagues, friends classmates etc to call me by the name I feel more myself. Although I did have my hukamnama letter until now, now that I changed it and it’s not A anymore will I have bad luck and be cursed? :(

trace around patterns with fabric pen and cut OR use a rollator and cut around pattern pieces?

Which gives you more success so that peices are symmetrical? I feel like fabric pen way is most accurate but takes longer but with the rollator cutter I can sometimes go off the sewing pattern

AITAH for being upset that my fiancé (31M) lack of effort in celebrating my birthday? (30F)

My fiance is usually great about birthdays but this time around this month he was a bit stressed by his landlord due to an ant infestation and AC not working and he says because of this he couldn’t plan my birthday I.e I got no card or flowers or gift and 30 is a huge milestone. The only thing I got was a cake and we went together on my birthday to pick it up, he asked me if I want to eat our or eat at home and for me to choose the place. He didn’t plan anything and I ended up choosing a spot that had. A lot of meat so he’d like it. I ended up crying and the next morning he went out in the morning and got me flowers. I felt like if I didn’t cry he would not have got them for me and now he’s saying why I’m so upset and that I don’t see his effort that he never skipped celebrating my birthdays before and this month he was so stressed but he still brought me out to dinner and cafes I liked and the mall (didn’t get anything) and bought me flowers in the morning so now he’s frustrated I’m still upset and in bed. Should I just sweep this under the rug and wait for the next special day or talk to him about it tomorrow?

Nurses, what are your unhinged ways to stay healthy with work?

Please tell me ALL your unhinged tips on how to avoid snacking and binging as a nurse and eating healthy. I’m always on my feet so:

1 I binge when I come home from work straight to the kitchen to eat cause im starving and it’s worse after day shift than night shift

2 I’m always snacking at break cheese and crackers from the fridge, digestive crackers, gingerale, a sandwich…

3 patients always giving us food in the break room… I always have some cause I feel like I deserve it

4 too much coffee cause it’s easy to get at work and not enough water

What are your guys unhinged hacks to fix these??? Calorie trackers? Anything?

Keep deck or do pavers??

Current backyard. Debating deck removal and putting down a paver patio or should I just sand and clean the deck? Conflicted as deck maintenance over time is a hassle but pavers aren’t cheap.

Should I help my single mother with the mortgage? Do you?

Hi everyone, I am an only child with a single mother. My mom own a home and the current mortgage is approximately $1700 a month I currently live with her. I am not married and I do not pay any mortgage. Sometimes I help out with the groceries, I am 27 years old. Do you think I should be helping out my mother with the mortgage? I feel like as an individual who’s working as a full-time nurse that I should be helping out with the mortgage eventually, this house will be mine in the future. What do you guys think? Has anyone in the same situation as me and you help your single parent with the mortgage? Would affect my ability to find a husband in the future and would he be upset that I have a financial responsibility towards my aging single mother?
