I need to put the birds to bed...
I looked down and she was shrimping, which she learned from watching the budgies.

She decided to do a cuddle, then a loooooong stretch to hide her face in the feathers of my pigeon. My pigeon who was at the time, hiding her own face in my armpit. Birds are silly.
My back needs to be stretched out, but my pigeon is half dozing on me.
Western New York, after a big rain. Hopefully this is a clear enough photo. Also pet big!
My aunt joined this, and immediately I started seeing a ton of glasses. Come on, people.
Saw this one myself, that someone promoted as an advert. Elon didn't do anything. Unless you live in an area whose grid runs off green (or nuclear, or in some places both) power, you're still directly dirtying the air.
It's been about a week and a half since Scoot's death, and she's still wondering where her wife went. I'm a poor substitute, but at least she enjoys smooshing her beak into my chin and beard.
Here's Boogie, I don't know how to tell her that Scoot can't come home anymore. Sorry for being emotional, but I'm a mess. Drove across two states to get him hospitalized, and he unfortunately passed away after they managed to revive him the first time. Thank you for this wonderful community. I won't be back to reply for a while, until I've collected myself and put Scoot's ashes in with the rest of those who passed away.
Edit: got a call back. Scoot was actually a girl so my babies were a lesbian couple.
This dumb dumb baby that I love so dearly messed up his gut biome so badly that I had to drive him an hour and a half away to find a specialist. Cost a lot of money.
He's on antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, and critical care formula. He's doing great!
But this is also why I can't get a Switch 2. I guess I'll take it out on him with extra snuggles and kisses. Picture is when we were in the examination room, they had just gotten stool, blood, and crop samples and he was exhausted from the ordeal. (His full name is Scoobert Doobert)
Boogie (pigeon) is about two years old, I think. Loki (green cheek conure) is 13. Boogie was a little nervous at first, because she's not terribly well socialized (not my fault! I only got the pigeons in January). But she was very good with her older sister. Loki is super cuddly so I'm hoping that helps Boogie open up more.
My boy is sitting on the real eggs, with the nest he made for Boogie (not pictured). He ignores the fake eggs, but doesn't always properly sit on the real ones. I'm not sure he knows what to do exactly but he's only about a year old. So I can't fault him. He is a big loveable dumb dumb. ❤️
Boogie was getting yucky, so she's had a bath and enjoying burrito time. Loki the green cheek conure was getting a little jealous, but that was easily remedied.
Usually it's harder to get them both at once, but they let me give them cuddles. The girl (Boogie) likes to go against my arm, near my elbow, and the boy (Scoot) does that as well, but today he's content to sit on my tummy.
He's taking a nap after his bath. I love him.
Originally from TikTok, but I personally took it from someone else on Reddit.
I hate this.
I'm still learning what pigeon body language and mannerisms are. Is this a happy pigeon?
