How is this location (think PETER Cooper) that faces 23/1st? Really inconvenient? How noisy is the ambulance situation heading up 1st to hospitals?

Hi there, not sure where else to ask. As I am serious about a new apartment and just suffered the loss of all of my belongings after a severe leak was covered up in my prior apartment, I am looking to borrow/rent a moisture meter from someone in NYC if at all possible. I don’t feel I can bring an inspector as the situation is way too pressured, as you all are aware, given the current market.

If anybody has a nice furnished apartment that they’re looking to rent to a responsible, professional couple for the next 3-8 months, we had a flood, and **our insurance will pay a premium to relocate us**. Our preferred move-in is sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. Timing is somewhat flexible as we are in a hotel now that is avail til July 16. Price up to 14k.

We are expressly looking in West Chelsea, Chelsea, meatpacking/West Village. We would consider other nearby neighborhoods like Gramercy, but likely not uptown or outside of Manhattan due to needing to be near the original apt to deal with logistics.

For example, if it’s an $8000 apartment, they will pay between 11 and 13k.
