Trying to break into Tech Sales — any advice/opportunities?

I’m a recent grad working as an Implementation Consultant at HighRadius (~₹8 LPA), but I’ve realized B2B Tech Sales is where I actually want to build my career.
I’m looking to make the switch into SDR/BDR → AE, preferably at a good SaaS company. Honestly, my current job is getting to a point where I really don’t see myself staying much longer.
If anyone has advice, referrals, or knows of teams hiring someone with an implementation background, I’d genuinely appreciate it.
Just trying to make the right move before I completely lose my mind at my current job 😭

Should I switch from Implementation to Tech Sales?

I’m a recent grad working as an Implementation Consultant at HighRadius (~₹8 LPA), but I’ve realized I genuinely enjoy B2B sales much more than implementation.
I’m considering switching to SDR/BDR → AE → Enterprise AE at a good SaaS company.
Is it smarter to switch now, or spend 1–2 years in implementation first? And how realistic is strong long-term compensation in enterprise sales?
Looking for brutally honest opinions from people actually in B2B tech sales — not LinkedIn success stories.

▲ 2 r/gastricsleeve+1 crossposts

Is something wrong with me?

I was 145 kgs in 2023 Dec and my doctor basically said if I dont get the gastric sleeve, I would die. So I went ahead got the surgery done and started hitting the gym. I had lost 50 kgs by October of 2024 and since then not even a single kilo.

I have been hitting gym but I have real trouble in eating food and hitting the targets because of my surgery. The scale hasn't moved ever since and no major changes in my body.

So maybe something like creatine can help? I mean I want one of these things: weightloss or good muscle growth at least. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. This is really taking a toll on me now.

2026 batch on campus hires

Hey,for the 2026 batch hires have they started onboarding or releasing offer letters? There was an internship? Am I the only one who doesn’t know stuff? Was hired from LPU at 11Lpa.

Can someone here tell what all you guys had received? I was relaxed as they were delaying the process last year.

Profile review please

Hey, please review my profile and let me know if there’s anything I can do to improve it. I’ll be applying for the 2027 PGP YL intake.

Background : 8/9/8, Engineering from a tier 2 college

I’m yet to take the GRE, but I’m targeting a 325+ score.

I interned at ISB Hyderabad in the Quant Marketing domain, at DRDO Hyderabad in the ML domain, and as a Project Management Intern at an oil and gas company in Mumbai. I also worked as an Analytics Intern at a family friend’s startup.

I helped my mother scale and brand her café, and I still take care of outreach and logistics. I also handle the strategy and outsourcing segment for my father’s construction company.

I spent a semester abroad at UC Berkeley on a USD 30,000 scholarship, studying entrepreneurship (GPA: 3.4/4). During my time there, I worked on two startups that went on to be nominated for expos and VC pitches at Berkeley — one in the cybersecurity space and the other in sustainable e-commerce.

I was also part of various clubs on campus and served as the placement coordinator for my batch. Additionally, I received the Global Learning Achievement Scholar award.

I am currently interning as an Implementation Consultant at an O2C-based fintech startup and will be joining them full-time from July 2026. I will be graduating in August 2026.

In August 2026, I will also be starting a distance Master’s degree in Business Laws from NLSIU.

The thing is, I’m a terrible test taker, and I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to succeed in CAT/GMAT even if I spend a year preparing for them. That’s why I chose the GRE, since I’m comparatively more comfortable with it.

I’ve seen some incredibly strong profiles get rejected this year for PGP YL. Do you think I have a realistic chance of at least making it to the interview stage? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Oh god so many rejections? I was a little confident about applying next year and I am shit scared to apply. I know folks with 99.5+ % in CAT get rejected. Did anyone apply with GRE and things are going in your favour? If yes, thoda baat karo please.
