I’m posting this anonymously because I’m still trying to process something that happened to me when I was in high school.
When I was a teenager, a guy I knew began harassing me and trying to blackmail me. He would send me photos of himself wearing women’s lingerie and heels, and he also posted photos of me on a fetish website without my consent. At the time, I was young and honestly didn’t know what to do or how seriously to take it. I never really got any resolution or felt like there were consequences for what happened.
I recently came across him online and found out that he is now engaged and works locally as a wedding photographer. Seeing that honestly brought a lot of this back up for me. It made me wonder whether I was the only person he behaved this way toward, or whether there could have been other people who experienced something similar.
I’m not looking to start a witch hunt or publicly identify him. I’m more interested in hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar, particularly if you were a teenager at the time and the person used sexual images, threats, blackmail, or online posting to intimidate you.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? And if you discovered years later that the person was still living a completely normal life, how did you deal with that feeling?

I’m 31F and we’ve been talking for awhile. I’ve met a guy I really like. I’m trying to keep it cool, but I don’t know how often I should be texting him? Hi! I saw a beautiful man on this morning’s Governor’s Island Ferry today June 3 around 10:15 AM. He was dressed in construction clothing and looked to be Mexican. I’m not sure, but he was very handsome and I would love to meet him!

Be very careful using the mailbox in front of the 31st USPS Post Office. The check I wrote was altered and white washed (most likely by someone working there).
