What do you think about my game environments?

I made them by mixing up various asset packs such as: Pure Nature: Meadows 2, Beautiful Sky, Japan Village, Japanese Graves and making a few myself.

The game is an emotional walking sim where you need to help Zodiac spirits break free from the bound of the Jade Emperor.

I'm making a game where you need to investigate real found footage in order to find clues and escape the cult

The game is called The Tape: Origins - It's a horror game where you need to analyze real found footage and solve escape-room puzzles in order to escape the hotel before the cult returns to sacrifice you.

If you want to check out the trailer or its steam page here is the link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4443560/The_Tape_Origins/

Our first trailer was much slower paced so we wanted to make one more suitable for Steam.

Please give us any feedback you may have on it.

I would love to hear some of you thoughts on how you find the Steam page, and what can I do to tighten it up!

It feet almost criminal how much I promoted my game in these 32 hours. But here is the overview of what worked:

  • IGN published my Announce Trailer on their GameTrailers channel, now it's sitting just shy of 2k views.
  • I made posts in a LOT of reddit subs, something like 12-16, many of them had very low traction, but best were HorrorGames and FoundFootage subs, my game uses real found footage and it's a horror game so it resonated a lot with that audience. gaming sub had the most views but the game was downvoted to oblivion, I recommend trying that one to get good exposure at least.
  • I also made one Facebook post in Indie Game Devs group
  • I made a devlog and game post on itch as well, where my followers played earlier shorter version of the game I announced.

In the end I got total of 104 wishlists, many supporting comments and some criticism on the trailer and the game.

I know I can't keep this intensity up and I am almost certain my daily wishlists will plumet in a few days, but I'll try to do posting rounds like this once every few weeks and in meantime try to apply to some fests and pray the game gets accepted in one.
