Initially I thought it would be too big but I’d say it’s not too bad at all. Wrist size is 18cm for reference. Sadly I do feel if you have small wrists the sizing is not ideal - maybe there should have been big or small variant. Anyways so glad I can now wear my mechanical watches now on my left wrist and get all data I need. If I work out with this frequently I’m so going to need another band but the time is so long now!
I’ve owned the Explorer II for several months now. I regularly do outdoor activities such as hiking. I was in northern Italy today and went on this hike and took this photo, I had a Garmin Fenix 8 on my right hand to track my GPS and also follow the route and track back to my car. If I didn’t own the Garmin, I would have struggled to locate where I needed to go as signage on the trail was sporadic. It got me thinking is the Rolex actually serving a “tool” purpose for me?
I constantly hear the term “tool watch” when it comes to divers or gmt watches and can’t help but think modern digital watches are far more reliable and offer much more tools in one.
The Explorer 2 is one of the last Rolex’s that hasn’t been “blingified” in the sense of no two tone gold or precious metals so that always appealed to me like there was a undercurrent that the watch was still holding a purpose.
I’m wondered how many other owners of these watches use them as they were originally intended knowing that 21st century tech is far superior or just purely think of them as nice looking watches but don’t bother with activities with them and instead switch to a smart/digital watch.
Wondering how popular this option is in summer. I wanted to change things up a bit so got this rubber strap. I know there’s a slight colour mismatch but couldn’t rock a brown strap. Anyways think it doesn’t look half bad
My guess is either Tudor Black Bay or sub but can’t make it out.
Never fails to amaze how great this watch is swimming, kayaking, diving and just generally life
What’s everyone’s GADA (go anywhere do anything)?
Lucky to have bought this watch couple months ago, Love how it looks with a sunset
Enjoying wearing the explorer ii I recently purchased, took it on a first hike (UK, Seven Sisters Cliffs)
