if you guys dont know kagurabachi is an incredibly NICHE manga. and its animes first 20 minutes were amazing. def gonna be 2027 AOTY. thats why its fine to bot saying its peak.enough time has passed! watch kagurabachi!
overall i love the series even part 2. and even its second half.
but it does have some things that confused me.
for example yuki(i think was his name) zeros follower from part 1 just disappeared after the cars fell of the cliff. same with hiroshi. its implied they died but it never is outright stated so it makes it feel like the story forgot they exist
suezaki is hilarious though it does feel weird that zero keeps hima round but i guess its because hes good at handling money.
i also think there have been more done with zeros website. like maybe having naoki contact zero through that rather then seeing him in a bar. it just feels kinda wasted.
like others said it seems like fukumoto just got bored with the series and decided to end it and not pick it back up.
which is a shame BECAUSE I REALLY WANNA KNOW WHAT SHIRUBES PLAN WAS FROM PART 1!
it also makes me wonder if fukumoto even wrote that far or if he just threw that in and planned to answer it later. that could also answer why theres no third part as maybe he just doesnt know where to take the series
of course it makes sense. fukumotos drawn over 200 volumes of manga. over something like 10 different series? idk. its not suprising that one slips through the cracks. especially as he gets older and older but its still saddening. the whole billionaire/trillionaire gamble thing really got me invested. especially zaizen and kijurous apparent rivalry.
but once fukumoto finishes nikaido he would most likely go back to kaiji and finish that(which to be honest i would prefer) and itd most likely take a couple hundred chapters assuming there will be one last gamble with hyoudou and that would take years. leading him into his seventies where he might want to write nikaido part 2 or some other story who knows. (or end his career or even just straight up die. i hope he doesn't. to quote eren. "not for another 10 years at least" but its definitely possible. especially since hes a mangaka) meaning zero part 3 will probably never be written.
but i guess thats that

even though most people didnt like the yuukichis monologues arc i really liked it and imo it is one of the best treasure hunt stories in fiction. i found it incredibly fun but also disappointing because ya know. theres no story afterward. also i liked how you got to know president kijurou before actually seeing him not in a flashback. its like how he could feel takamitsu when reading the books given to him through the hole
i think everyone on here has gotten one of these by now and they keep poppin up for me.

i can only describe what i feel as the opposite of catharsis. dont get me wrong. its a bold decision from fukumoto and i kindaaaa like it but it also feels just wrong. i guess.

Straight up i wanna talk about ulterior motives and EATEOT. I lowkey felt me neurons activate when hearing ulterior motives and I dunno if any one else in the movie even knew. When watching the asylum scene where they used EATEOT music I initially just thought the same thing until later with the whole memory thing when I realized
THE BACKROOMS MEMORY IS WORSENING AND WORSENING AND THEY USED THE DEMENTIA ALBUM FOR A SCENE
Realizing that was lowkey like solving a murder mystery highkey.
Kinda disappointed they never used subways of your mind but ulterior motives and the way Kane used EATEOT more then made up for it
Ive never been one to subscribe to the idea that Kanes backrooms and the oldest view were in the same universe but after seeing Not Clark it made me think they might actually be in the same world as Not Clark kinda reminded me of the Rolling Giant with its lanky proportions and almost puppet like physique
Also it made me wonder if the Not versions are people are only effected by how people in the backrooms perceive them? Like maybe the reason Clark with a pirate was because his employees always saw him like that but then again with the ads the rest of the world probably saw him like that too. Also I wonder if the reason Not Mary had so many fingers was because of her concrete hand that she carried with her. So the fake version had the fingers of her normal self along with the concrete. I think based off of what Clark said with it repeatedly remembering things that the reason why Clark was so distorted where as the other 3 weren't was because he was constantly being remembered by the backrooms because he was down there and then he attacked Clark when Mary was there because Mary thought of him as violent so he became violent
Also I was kinda disappointed at the wheelchair guy reveal as I thought when I first saw him in the dark that he looked like the rolling giant so I figured he might be a reference but then he was just a guy in a wheelchair
Another interesting thing I noticed was at the credits before the end credits the reason why the letters has multiple lines was because they were being misremembered.
I was really saddened and kinda disappointed with Clarks development. I thought he was gonna become a better person but i guess what happened does make more sense.
One last thing was that there was a kid screaming during the maybe first fourth of the movie from outside the theater and hed repeatedly stick his head in and yell and eventually everyone cursed him out which was funny
The last thing the kid yelled was "DIDDYS GONNA RAPE YOU!" and thats when everyone cursed at him and I remember afterwards someone walked out of the theater then came back in and we didnt hear the kid for the rest of the movie so hopefully that guy sent the kid to the backrooms and he met Not Diddy cause man that kid was annoying
And at the end of the movie I yelled ABSOLUTE CINEMA and I kid you not several people clapped(Not all of them. maybe like ten or twenty but still it was funny)
In conclusion absolute cinema
cant put em on watch later cause we all know no one ever actually watches their watch later list
They were incredibly good mixing a bit of strategy with the classic "get stronger"
