Question about UV penetration

From my understanding one of the main concerns with seed oils is that when it oxidises it releases free radicals. There is no doubt that uncontrolled, unnatural (i.e not delierabtely caused by the body) sources of free radicals in the body is probably bad for you.

However, I can't seem to find any research that demonstrates that UV radiation can penetrate the skin deep enough to cause the oxidisation mechanism to occur.

Can someone help me out? Thanks

What is the current Lucid Dreaming Meta?

I stopped practicing lucid dreaming about 3 years ago but I have decided to return.

What are the current strategies / methods to induce lucid dreaming? Is it still the same as 3 years ago or have people discovered new mechanisms?

Does anyone else follow a partial / semi raw primal diet?

Like I for breakfast I drink raw milk raw egg yolks and raw honey, for lunch its usually some raw red steak, but for dinner I usually eat what my mom cooks (we don't use seed oils so I don't have to worry abt that)

i know its not 100% primal but i think i would be miserable if i didnt anything my mom cooked

Should I still have Salmon / Sardines?

It has been almost 6 months since I started eating Peaty. I can't remember the last time I had anything to do with seed oils, let alone PUFAs.

However, very occasionally (once a week at best) I would indulge in some wild salmon or canned sardines. For the most part I didn't think much of it due to how little I was having.

But looking through more posts (on this subreddit and some others) it seems that there is some evidence pointing towards having some Omega 3s in your diet. It seems that most people, even when cutting out major sources of PUFAs will still get an a minute amount from things like red meat, and the occasional fish.

What do you think? It seems that Ray Peat was against Salmon due to its PUFA content, but there seems to be the possiblity of Omega 3 deficiency as well.

[Product Question] Retinol Eye Cream for Tretinoin Users

I currently use 0.01% tretinoin but I am aware I cannot under any circumstance use it near my eyes due to irritation, instead I am supposed to use a retinol eye cream.

Most people here seem to recommend some starter beginner strength retinols but since I've been using tretinoin for a while now I think I can start with something stronger.

Any recommendations?

Sunscreen and Pigmentation

Some while ago I started using sunscreen and my natural skin tone started getting lighter before plateauing, I always assumed for a long time I had very dark brown almost black skin, but after using sunscreen my skin tone has become a very nice olive tone.

I read online that sunscreen can allow your skin to return to its normal skin tone due to sun damage. But it seems Ray Peat is against most modern sunscreens due because the body can absorb certain chemicals in them?

What should I do?

Topical progesterone for men?

I found some skincare products that contain progesterone derived from Wild Yams. Should I use this? If so, what mg? (one product says each pump contains about 15mg of progesterone)

Thanks

Has anyone taken largest quantities of certain vitamins before an exam?

I've already been doing L-Theanine and Caffeine before my exams, but I was wondering if there are any more experimental ways like megadosing on certain vitamins

Can I bring in 3D paper glasses for my exam?

One of my courses is allowing two single sided cheat sheets, so I was wondering if I can bring in 3D glasses so I can put twice the amount of information on one page and view them using the glasses

(anything but actually studying obviously)

Success with Axhidrox

I wanted to let you all know that my craniofacial hyperhidrosis has been cured due to Axhidrox. Ever since I have started applying it, there has been zero instance of scalp sweat. It's genuinely shocking how well it works, I expected only a slight reduction in sweating, but complete and total stop in all facial sweating is incredible. I can finally stand out in the sun and blowdry my hair without dripping all over the place.

I apply one pump for each side of my face, from my forehead going to the back of my ears, side of my ears and neckside below my ears, for the left and right side of my face.

I have experienced zero side effects so far, except a slight dry throat, however it is Winter where I live so it could be due to that as well, but regardless I have absolutely zero complaints and will use this for the rest of my life.

LEONARDI LABORATORIES: anyone heard of them?

I just discovered them and I feel like I have discovered the holy grail of affordable skin and hair products. They sell literally every oil on the planet, 100% HA and pure vitamin compounds, all extremely affordable. I'm planning on bulk buying stuff from them, but I want to make sure they're legit.

Has anyone had any experience from them?

Anyone else love the wild animals at UQ

I know there are major cities in the world where there is a stark lack of wild animals, compared to Australian cities like Brisbane where you will find Koala's lizards bin chickens birds ducks doves etc just walking into classrooms, walking about, co-existing with people its just so comforting we live in a place where this is natural i can't imagine a city with no animals in it

After CRR is finished, I think a new major project could tackle two things:

- Cleveland track duplication

- Wynuum grade separation

What do you think, is this possible in the near future, or would residents tear the project down before it is even talked about?

edit: kind of irrelevant, but i think the new ocean view that would exist if elevated would be a cool little bonus
