My new nose looks really weird. Is it botched ?

Hi everyone,

I was botched on my first nose job, I looked like a whoville character with a very thin and pinched nose. I went to have my 2nd nose job 1,5 months ago, and my nose doesn't look pinched anymore but it has this weird artificial look. Like I don't know, the shape is really weird.

Am I overthinking this or is the case ? Does it look done ? I'm looking for honesty

Thanks a lot !

My mom hates my new nose and it honestly makes me sad

My mom keeps telling me she preferred my old nose (slide 2) and that it looked more elegant. I know I shouldn't care so much about one person's opinion but hearing it from your own mom definitely hits differently lol

For context I didn't actually hate my old nose. I know I might sound dumb but I had already been planning to go on vacation to Turkey with my sister, and I really wanted a more upturned nose, so I basically thought, well, I'm going to be there anyway, might as well kill two birds with one stone. I just wanted to improve it while I had the opportunity.

I actually liked my old nose too, so now I'm kind of wondering if I made a mistake. Do you think the new one suits my face better or was the old one more elegant?

Would a Barbie nose suit my face ?

I’ve never really liked my nose and I’ve been thinking about getting a rhinoplasty. I’m especially drawn to that small, refined “Barbie nose” look, but I’m not sure if it would actually suit my face or look too unnatural on me.

What do you think ? Please be honest!

Before vs after : 1 month post op. Can't wait to see the final result. Do you like it ?

I know it’s still really early and there’s a lot of swelling left, but I wanted to share my 1-month post-op result. I’m really curious to see how it changes in time.

Please be completely honest with me, I genuinely want to hear your opinions, even if you don’t like it or think something could have been done better. I’d rather get honest feedback than just compliments.

What do you think so far, does it fit my face ? And do you think it has good potential once fully healed ?

I hate actors and actresses with perfect faces that feel the need to "correct" their inexistant flaws with surgery

No shame to any actor or actress, I just needed an example.

I hate seeing actors and actresses with objectively beautiful faces getting surgery to "fix" flaws that barely exist.

It feels like we're losing what made their faces unique, and more and more celebrities are starting to look the same. I honestly find it kind of sad.

If you saw me in the street, would you actually think my nose is ugly?

I’m 23 and I’ve been spiraling over my rhinoplasty for the last few days.

For context, I had my nose done in Turkey 7 months ago. A few days ago I made a post asking “Would a Barbie nose suit me?” even though I had already had the surgery. I did that because I wanted to see what people thought about my natural nose without the usual bias that comes with posting a before/after.

Then I posted my actual before and after on another forum, and the comments were honestly pretty brutal. Most people said my current nose is too small, pinched, over-rotated, and that I looked much better before.

I’m not posting the before photos here because I think they influence people too much. Once people see a comparison, they start judging which version is better, and apparently almost everyone preferred my old nose.

The weird thing is that I hated my old nose. To me it looked too wide, bulbous, and angular, and I spent years being insecure about it. That’s why I went through with the surgery.

Now I genuinely feel like I may have ruined my face at 23, and I can’t tell anymore whether I’m seeing a real problem or whether I’ve become hyper-focused on it.

So I just want a completely context-free opinion:

If you saw me walking down the street looking like this, would my nose actually stand out to you as unattractive? I do think it looks really done tho, do you ?

Please be honest. I’m not looking for compliments or reassurance, I genuinely want to know how this comes across to someone with no emotional attachment to my face. I need to know if I should consider a revision. Thanks

7 months post-rhinoplasty. Be honest did it improve my face?

Yesterday I made a post asking whether a Barbie nose would suit me. The funny thing is, I actually had my rhinoplasty a long time ago. I was just curious to see how people felt about my natural nose without knowing I had it done, I wanted to test the water.

Anyway, here are the actual before and after photos, It alternates between the after and the before, one out of two.

My surgeon's goal was to make my nose smaller and more refined while keeping it relatively natural.

At first I loved how clean it looked, but after living with it for a while, I've started wondering if I lost some of the character my face had before. Sometimes I think it looks elegant, other times I worry it might be a little too refined or that it changes the balance of my face.

I'm curious what people who have no emotional attachment to my face think.

Which version do you honestly prefer, and why ? Does it look done ? I'm not looking for reassurance. I'd genuinely appreciate honest opinions, even if you think the before suited me better.

Why do ancient civilizations feel so much more "mystical" than our own?

This is something I've been wondering about recently : if someone from 3,000 years in the future looked back at us, they'd probably just see a bunch of ordinary humans going to work, scrolling on their phones, arguing online, buying groceries, sitting in traffic, etc. There isn't really anything mystical about our civilization when you're actually living in it lol.

But whenever we think about ancient civilizations, whether it's Egypt, the Maya, Mesopotamia, or even prehistoric cultures, they often feel completely different in our imagination. They're portrayed as incredibly wise, deeply spiritual, somehow more connected to nature or the cosmos. In movies and fiction, they almost seem to function as if everyone shared a common purpose, like they were working toward something bigger than themselves.

I know that's probably a romanticized view, and the reality was almost certainly much messier. But I'm curious where this perception comes from.

Is it because so much of their daily life has been lost, so we're left mostly with temples, monuments, myths, and religious texts?

650cc to 1200cc : 12 months later

About 12 months ago, I upgraded from 650cc to 1200cc implants and I thought I'd finally share my results

The third pic shows my old 650cc implants after they were removed. The rest of the photos are my current result with 1200cc implants, one year post-op

I know 1200cc sounds huge on paper but because I already had 650cc implants before my tissues had already stretched quite a bit. The difference is definitely noticeable, but it wasn't as dramatic as I expected based on the numbers alone.

Now that it's been a year they've softened thankfully lol and settled nicely and I honestly am very happy with them. I know this size isn't everyone's cup of tea but it was exactly the look I wanted.

Is 29 too young for a facelift ?

I'm going to Turkey soon because my boyfriend is getting a hair transplant, and it got me thinking about whether I should do something myself while I'm there.

I'm 29 and I've had pretty deep forehead lines for years. They're visible even when my face is completely relaxed. At this point, I feel like the skin has already creased so I'm not even sure Botox would do much. My understanding is that Botox is mostly preventative whereas these lines seem permanently etched into my skin already.

It's not just my forehead either. Around my mouth the skin there has also started to crease when my face is at rest and it makes me feel like my whole face is aging unevenly.

That has me wondering whether it would make more sense to think about a facelift rather than just treating one specific area. I know that might sound ridiculous at 29 and that's exactly why I'm asking. Most people seem to get facelifts in their 40s or later, so I have no idea if surgeons would even consider someone my age a candidate.

Has anyone here looked into this in their late 20s? Were you told to wait?

AITA for not telling my boyfriend I've had cosmetic surgery?

I (29F) have been dating my boyfriend (31M) for about 3 months.

About 18 months ago before I met him I had a rhinoplasty and a chin implant.

Early on in our relationship we were talking about reality TV personalities and he made some pretty dismissive comments about people who get their noses, lips, etc. done. He basically said they all end up looking the same and that he doesn't understand why people do it.

That immediately made me decide not to bring up the fact that I'd had cosmetic surgery myself.

The thing is I never actually lied to him. He's never asked if I've had any work done and the topic has genuinely never come up again. I just never volunteered the information.

Now that we've been together for a few months I'm starting to wonder if I'm being dishonest by omission. Part of me feels like it's my private medical history and I'm not obligated to disclose it. Another part of me thinks that if he eventually finds out he'll wonder why I never told him, especially considering the comments he made.

AITA for not telling him or is this something that's okay to keep to myself unless it naturally comes up?

Please be brutally honest : does my nose look done ?

Be honest: if you saw me in real life, would you assume I've had a nose job? Does it look "Turkish" ?

I'm curious because I just made a post about my before/after and I've gotten mixed opinions. Some people say it looks completely natural, while others immediately think it looks like surgically done.

I'd appreciate honest first impressions without trying to be nice. Feel free to explain what makes you think that. I personnally, love the result !

My face transformation 18 months later

Hi,

I had a rhinoplasty, chin reshaping (with a chin dimple), and under-eye filler.

I never hated my face, but I always felt like my nose and chin threw off the balance of my features. My under-eyes also made me look exhausted all the time. I work in a field where my face is seen every day (nothing weird lol), so I was constantly aware of my appearance in photos, videos, and from the side.

I also asked for a chin dimple because I've always liked them. It's kind of funny because it's such an uncommon procedure and a lot of people actually see chin dimples as a flaw that I feel like it makes the result look less done lol.

The change is obviously noticeable, and that's exactly what I wanted. I wasn't trying to look like a different person, just a prettier, more balanced version of myself. I don't overanalyze every picture anymore, and my confidence is honestly so much better.

Recovery wasn't always fun tho but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
