Decrese volume lessen the clarity instead of lowering the volume

Hello! As the title says. The volume only decreases normally when using slider from other program such as Youtube or In-Game audio settings, but seems to not work using keyboard shortcuts nor the GUI slider, it loses clarity but stays as loud. I messed with alsamixer before because the audio sounds weird after installing EasyEffects, but I was simply maximizing all the bars that I can slide without knowing anything. I did sudo alsactl init but the problem persists. How to begin troubleshoot this?

Audio Cracking

Hello. I'm using CachyOS and SHP9500. The default was fine but I was trying to mess around with Easyeffects. These are the commands that I used:

sudo pacman -S easyeffects

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JackHack96/EasyEffects-Presets/master/install.sh)"

sudo pacman -S lsp-plugins-lv2 calf zam-plugins-lv2

I used Bass Enhanching + Perfect EQ preset from JackHack96 but it's been cracking ever since, especially on max volume. I tried disabling the effects to no avail. So I tried rebooting and removing Easyeffects and corresponding plugins, the problem still remains. How to fix this? Is there a way to reset the audio settings altogether?

How to shrink more Windows partition?

Hi guys! I'm new to Linux. I used to dual boot my laptop with Linux Mint before I decide to try CachyOS today. I have around 112.24 GB of Unallocated partition and the rest are Windows partition, bootloader partition, and RECOVERY partition.

Following CachyOS instruction on dual booting, I want to shrink Windows partition as much as possible because I want to play games on CachyOS. Under storage settings, I still have 515 GB of free space, whereas Disk Management only allows for 138 GB to shrink. How can I shrink more space?

is it safe to delete fuchsia legacy partition?

Hi guys! I'm curious about Disk Management so I look on each partition to get into details. For the record, I'm currently dual booting Windows 11 and Linux Mint. I used the following command on CMD, set to run as administrator.

diskpart

list disk

select disk 0

select partition 1

detail partition

which leads me to the following image. On this Wikipedia page, it seems like c12a7328-f81f-11d2-ba4b-00a0c93ec93b is reserved for Fuchsia Legacy Partition. I don't remember adding this, I wonder if it's safe to delete to give more space to my Windows partition? Thanks.

how to distro hop on dual boot device?

Hi guys! I'm new to Linux. I've dual boot Linux Mint and Windows, but I want to change the Linux Mint to CachyOS. On CachyOS manual, I'm supposed to shrink my Windows partition. But It would mean I still have the Linux Mint partition right? So my initial thought is to uninstall the Linux partition. Is this a reasonable approach? Also I don't understand why I have so many partitions lol, any idea?

Note: I can't attach image here but on Disk Management, I have 4 partitions, 1 OS (C:), and 1 RESTORE.

Logitech G304 Wireless Mouse Life Span

I’ve been using this mouse since 2019 using the usb dongle. I don’t mind having to upgrade, but I wonder if it’s actually still usable?

It gets disconnected and reconnected randomly on my ROG Zephyrus G14 on Windows 11, but work surprisingly fine and responsive on Linux Mint. I have another laptop, which is Asus ZenBook UX431DA_UM431DA that I got around the same year, but the mouse also disconnected randomly on CachyOS. What do you think happens? I’m weary that this is some kind of OS or hardware problem that won’t be fixed with newer mouse
