Gov't Dental Plan Question

Hi all. My mom, who is a low income senior and 91, needs some tooth extractions. I did not realize that I was supposed to renew her government dental plan before June 30th (she never had tooth problems and rarely went to dentists). Now, I read that she must reapply and wait 6-8 weeks. She is in a lot of pain and you cannot get reimbursed later if you pay for the treatment.

We paid for her X-rays out of pocket but I am wondering if there is anyway for her to get government subsidized care now....surely there has to be something in place??

I know I can try to get an emergency appt at the clinic affiliated with the Dental school for lower cost, but I feel like there has to be something else we can do...?

Thank you

ontario me/cfs docs

Hello. I am desperately looking for some doctor who will let me try out some stuff for me/cfs; stuff like GLP-1, Abilify etc. My GP says he is not comfortable with prescribing these things and my old doc left. I asked to be referred to some infectious disease and rheumatology docs and most rejected my referral. One agreed to see me, saw me once, and couldn't help.

What does someone like me, do? I have been sick so long, I have already spent everything I had trying different docs in the USA and I cannot afford to do that now.

Is there anything I can do? I know that with so many having longcovid now, there have to be some options opening up, right??

I really don't want to order meds online but not sure what choice there is!?

Looking for budget simple WhatsApp phone

Hello. I have to go out of town and wanted to get my mom, who I think has mild dementia, a simple budget friendly phone, with which she can easily call me via WhatsApp.

Does anyone have recommendations?

Thanks!

AI trading video - is it real?

Hello. I am older and have no experience trading. I will probably stick to ETF's mostly but I could not help but be curious about AI and trading. I came across this video and it looked real. Is this for real?

(sorry if this is naive-sounding question).

I thought a while before posting this

I have been sick for most of my life. It has been a very difficult life. ME/CFS, CIRS, mold lyme whatever you want to call it, I believe its mostly gut.

Anyway, I recently tried a brand new product. It claims to have the major butyrate producers that sick people are supposed to be low on. I know I am low to zero. This includes F Prausnitzii and Rosburia. They could not put them into capsules until now because these are fragile obligate anaerobes

I have been taking this for about 2 weeks and on many days, I took 2 in a day.

I think I might be starting to feel....like someone is slowly...very slowly..turning the light on inside my head and body.

It is called DESIGNS FOR HEALTH COMMENSAL COMPLETE.

this etf seems too amazing

i am a newbie but..i cannot help but think i should put like half of everything into HYDR etf. It is up almost 300% in a year and I keep hearing that hydrogen is the future.

Is this too good to be true? because what is the point of stocks when this will probably go up so much??

sorry i am sure this is a dumb question

Food Sensitivity Test - Question

I believe I have fungal overgrowth. A food sensitivity test I took, indicated that I am sensitive to Oregano, Ginger, Salicylates, and many other foods. It occurs to me that Oregano, Ginger, and Salicylates are antifungal.

I am not sure how this tests works, but can it be that somehow it is showing that I am sensitive to these foods when in reality, it is a die-off reaction?

Sorry if this question makes no sense lol

Anyone looking to try FMT?

Wondering if anyone is planning on traveling somewhere for FMT. I am thinking of going to Europe to get this. I think if I get a series of them, I can make a further dent in my illness.

Just wanted to discuss

Has anyone accessed respite services for elderly loved one?

If you did use respite care that was partially government funded, in a long term care home, how long did you have to wait once you had the interview and completed the application?

I realize this will depend on how many options you chose and the length of respite time you needed, but just trying to get a general idea.

Thanks!

INTT stock - opinions?

Hi all. Does anyone have opinions on INTEST corporation? I do not know much about this area but I know they had a good earnings report and a strong buy rating... Looks like it could have a nice run up given the EV automotive demand

Thanks!

I would like to know why there is not more discussion about companies working on manipulating the gut microbiome. This is where the future of medicine lies. Virtually every chronic disease known to man, will one day be treated this way.

So, I wanted to talk about the potential new biomarker, TRMP3 ion channel dysfunction. A woman posted on Facebook that she recovered by taking Pregnenolone - some kind of hormone. I was googling this and it says that it can help this TRMP3 issue and it can work synergistically with something called "β-caryophyllene".

Has anyone tried this?

Hi all. Someone on FB says she recovered from ME/CFS using something called Progenolone. I have never heard of this hormone before but the potential new biomarker for the disease is something called "TRMP3 ion channel dysfunction" and the internet says this: "TRPM3 is a calcium ion channel that is activated by high heat and certain compounds, such as pregnenolone sulfate"

Not sure if there are any scientists here....but would love an easier way to understand this.

Also, wonder how this ties into the JAK-STAT pathway... ?

Wish I could understand more about this stuff but my brain fog always makes it impossible.

Hello. I tried a very high dose probiotic with L Reuteri and B. Subtillis in it. When I look up these bacteria, it says that they are always anti-inflammatory. However, when I take them, I feel very ill and feverish. I do not think that it is "die-off" or herxheimer. It feels strangely like it is causing a very subclinical sepsis type of feeling.

Can this happen??

Would this happen no matter which bacteria I take?

Thank you
