Historically I have been running the Noisefighters bridge to run a pvs 14 and RH25 V2. Great bridge, don’t get me wrong..

That said I learned about what Arkayne is putting out and in short their bridges allow for independent lateral, forward and backward, and up and down adjustment PLUS the ability to run them in ‘panoramic’, making them some of the most user configurable bridges on the market.

Here’s a build breakdown, as well as a look at how repeatable the zero is when doing caliber changes.

Admittedly it’s not the ‘best’ bolt gun to exist, but it’s a pretty appealing platform and it’s capable of 1/2 MOA accuracy if you do your part behind it, and feed it quality ammo.

I’m a pretty regular hog hunter, and am working on building out the truck to be ready for all the scenarios if night time off roading.

After trying the OneLeaf Mars Mini, it made me take OneLeaf a bit more seriously in the thermal market.

I have now tried and testing the MT1000 LRF and it’s currently replaced DNT thermals as my recommendation for the best budget thermal for the money, mainly due to its ability to be able to change the focal length like a DSLR camera (35mm, 50mm and 75mm lenses available).

Here’s a look at the Zentron CQ25R, another viable 4 in 1 unit.

This does everything the RH25V2 does, but adds LRF.

I have always used eotechs as my go to optic for best passive aiming performance under nods. I didn’t think you could get any ‘better’ from that, just different features.

That said, I recently tested the new Infitac OWS-32, which uses waveguide technology instead of traditional red dot, or holographic emitters.

I’m pretty shocked it actually did better than my eotechs from both an NV performance standpoint and lack of parallax.

Anyone else play with one of these? I really think waveguide is the next big thing for optic technology based on how well it performs

After getting a few requests to do this with a human subject, I compared 256, 384 and 640 thermal cores from 50-500 yards.

That said, it was done during the day and with 90% humidity. I wanted to compare the imagery in real world conditions, not perfect conditions.

I have posted some content recently on the higher end digital NV performance compared to analog, but here’s what that NV does when paired with thermal.

Some pretty impressive technology is available in 2026.

I compare an entry level PVS14 with ~1600 FOM to a ~2700 FOM unit so you can see what you’d get for the money in a few scenarios.

General rule of thumb is mo’ FOM mo’ better, but I hope this gives you an idea on how much it really matters.
