Prostitution should be made legal, hear me out
We all know what has been going on in our state, especially in ICR. Why I think it should be made legal:
- Consensual nature of prostitution — Criminalizing adult, voluntary, and consensual sex – including the commercial exchange of sexual services – is incompatible with the human right to personal autonomy and privacy. Yeh hum internet se dekke lagaya he kyunki baat toh sahi laga.
- Help report human trafficking, blackmailing, and grooming — Many sexual workers are hesitant to report that they have been trafficked, blackmailed, or groomed because criminalisation makes them feel that legal protection is not an option. As we saw in recent grooming cases two to three years back, where lots of underage girls were exploited but noone ever reported. The matter only came to light because of pregnancy, medical emergency etc.
- Public Safety — Legalisation will lead to discussion on how to let it properly happen. All prostitutes should be required to have license for a designated area of operation, with proper background check of why they are into it. This should be accompanied by mandatory weekly/monthly health checkups to ensure STD free operation. If serious STDs detected then license should be revoked and the prostitute should be barred. Some people will say that this will lead to social stigmatisation of the prostitutes and they have no safety net. Sorry but no compromise. If one has chosen to take this path then, one should be ready to bear the consequences.
- Help reduce abuse — of prostitutes from tharki law enforcement, pimp, public etc.
- Help reduce rapes — by psycho horny people. Because, then they will not have excuse that sex was not available.
- People are actually hypocrites — Seen many people openly harassing the prostitutes in Ganga area, that too with such cruelty. These are the same people that when nobody pays attention, look for prostitutes. They'll even stop random girls walking alone and night and ask "jaiga kya?". Maja b lena hai aur kudko povitro atma b dikana he. And some are just butthurt that they didn't get to smash and do not have the courage to approach one. Mane ki Yonang ada mora he lekin, duniya ko sharif dikana he. Most guys actually want it, andar se.

- Harassment free environment for normal ladies — Because it is illegal, most prostitutes don't advertise themselves openly. Hence, thora sa normal women expressive honese, with social media, clothing, and attitude, horny people start assuming and harass them.
Prostitution kyu horai?

Expensive makeups, clothes, shoes etc. Basically living beyonds one's means. They trap themselves in a vicious cycle. Some are drug addicts, should have been in rehab. Some just like the thrill of it. And there are those, upar se povitro atma, but target rich people. These povitro atmas have deluded themselves that what they are doing is not prostitution. Romance and Dating ka bahana me beech beech me paisa aur iphone mangte rehtai.
In case of guys (not by experience but by observation!), most just had f'ed up their future with some stupid decisions and feel there is no way out.
