How can I learn Vedic Sanskrit?

For context, I’m not familiar with Classical Sanskrit and would like to directly learn Vedic Sanskrit, if that’s possible. Or do I have to learn Classical Sanskrit first?

My family forced me to sit in a puja!

Today was my birthday, and I was excited asf because I had plans with my friends. But of course my andhbhakt braindead parents and some relatives decided to make it miserable by having me sit through a puja they knew I absolutely hate ts kind of things . Since my masi and other relatives were there, I couldn’t really say no without making things awkward, so I was stuck there for 3–4 fucking hours. I had to cancel all my plans because of it. I have no idea who came up with the idea that doing this kind of shit on someone’s birthday is somehow “good for their future.” Anyway, congratulations to everyone involved my birthday was successfully ruined. I hated every second of it. 💔💔🥀🥀

I naturally recovered from Dpdr Miracle or coincidence ?

Not karma farming you can downvote

Just saw this sub after years nostalgic, anyways i don't know if anyone will believe me, but I genuinely recovered from DPDR after suffering for a year.

I was in this subreddit 2–3 years ago (on another account) looking for ways to cure it. I tried talking to my parents when I was around 15–16 but they thought I was just making it up coz it ain't smth like mental health how can I describe what I was feeling yeah they thought i had eye problems xd , so I never got therapy or any medication.

I was severely depressed. It felt like I was living in a video game. Falling asleep in the dark was terrifying , even waking up felt strange . It's hard to describe but it was like I was controlling a first person character instead of actually being myself. Even in classes i had difficulty focusing. Sometimes the colors looked unusually bright, and other times I felt like I was watching myself from far away. I still remember some of it.

How did I recover? I didn't even try

That summer I went to my grandparents house and accidentally forgot my phone ( for context i was pretty much addicted to phone ) . I stayed there for about 20 days with no screen time. I spent my days playing with other kids, fishing, playing with their dogs , being outside, and spending time with my grandparents.

Somewhere during that trip, I completely forgot about DPDR. A month or two later, it suddenly hitt me "Wait... I used to have DPDR. Where did it go?"

Can't say for sure what really caused it to go away.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I've been a Diehard atheist but...

I'm from Assam, where Ekasarana Dharma is a major part of the culture.( Yeah the one where we avoid idol worship and only Worship to Lord Krishna ) For almost like half a decade I've been a pretty outspoken atheist, and everyone around me knows me that way. I avoided temples and religion because I didn't believe in God.

Recently I have become genuinely curious. Not about rituals or blind faith but about Vedic philosophy, like the concepts of Consciousness, and the idea of a deeper reality or cosmic truth.

I just want to understand these ideas from people who have studied them.

If you were introducing someone like me to Hindu philosophy, what books, texts, or teachers would you recommend? Should I start with the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, or something else ?.

First time intermittent fasting!

Hi everyone, I'm new to intermittent fasting and have a few questions.

1.Can I take electrolytes while fasting?

2.Is a 20-hour fasting window effective for fat loss?

3.Can I work out during the fasting period ? If so will it help increase fat loss while minimizing muscle loss?

Thanks.

Day 0 again!

Fuck. I only made it 1 day and 15 hours before I relapsed. I guess that's expected after doing it 3–4 times a day for so long.

I'm restarting now. This time my goal would be atleast one week. One relapse doesn't erase my progress or the decision to change.

BP destroyed my life.

I see examples of Blackpill every single day and that's what pulled me into it in the first place. I just wanted to self improve but I ended up falling into the blackpill rabbit hole. The more I watched the deeper I got. I joined niche communities like the org and spent hours LARPing and shitposting. It was funny at first but over time it took a dark turn. I became more and more toxic without even realizing it.

The only good thing that came out of it was that I lost quite a bit of weight. My skin got a little better and I started eating healthier. That's about it.

Deep down I know I can improve if I actually put in the effort but I just can't make myself do it. I've tried so many times but I always end up going back to those communities or watching the same depressing content again.

The worst part is that I don't even have a reason to keep going back. I've already learned everything I wanted to know. I've spent countless hours reading about bones ,muscles , diet , nutrition, posture , and every tiny detail. And Made a complete list of things that would actually help me improve in the long run but I never stuck with any of them. And whenever I did start I couldn't keep it up for more than a week.

Now I can't focus on anything. I waste hours every day and it feels like I'm trapped in the same cycle.

I still remember what my life was like a year ago before all of this. I used to hang out with my friends ,go on walks ,read books ,work out ,watch movies ,play games and what not , just enjoy life. Back then those things actually made me happy.

Now they don't Nothing really feels enjoyable anymore. It's like I've lost interest in everything that used to make me happy.

I just want to get out of this somehow.

After 10+ years i finally quit gaming.

I've been addicted to video games since I was a kid. It started with mobile games, then multiplayer mobile games, then multiplayer PC games, and then eventually single-player games.I've spent countless hours gaming over the years.

Then I stopped and asked myself, what did I actually gain? A few rare skins to flex? Higher ranks that don't matter outside the game? Endless trash talk and toxicity? I quit multiplayer games first.Thinking single-player games were different ,indeed they are i still remember all of my experiences unlike multiplayer. But eventually I realized that I don't even enjoy them anymore. Played so many games across so many genres that I can predict what's coming most of the time.

So I've decided to quit gaming. Not taking a long break not just one last game.
