Starving Revenant

Starving Revenant

Black’s version of Mulldrifter. An on-rate creature that can put you up on cards? This card seems classically good. Why is it that I can’t find a single deck running it on MTGGoldfish?

Was this permanent suspension reasonable? Is this typical?

This was my first ever "offense" on this sub.

I'm getting so jaded on participating on reddit. I've made an effort the whole time to never interact with political subs because of how tribal the moderation is there. But I've been browsing more QnA and casual discussion subs recently. But it is so fucking easy to get suspended. And for the vaguest reason.

And it's so much worse because each sub is supposed to fulfill a niche so it's hard to find exact alternatives. But I just feel like any participation at all risks me getting suspended.

Why do low rank players only use the missing ping?

There's 8 different pings to use but for some reason silvers and goldies only use the missing ping on your head for every situation. I don't even know what they're suggesting most of the time.

Just got done playing a game where there were 3 people like this. Do they not realize it only adds confusion and fucks up comms?

Response to "RTS Games are inherently difficult to play"

Whenever people wonder, "Why are RTS games not being made anymore?" "Why did it stop being a relevant esport?" There will be a group of people responding "It's just too difficult! Have you seen the top players' screens!?"

But why exactly? Forgive me for being particular about Starcraft with my examples.

  1. Too much multitasking

How about we automate it? Much in the same vein as incremental games or factory games. Set a governor to automatically build a worker when the last one is finished. Or just make it so that build queues don't take resources upfront. These features can be unlocked later in the game so that you can focus on other things.

  1. The game is too fast. You can lose your whole army in seconds!

How about we slow it down? Does Starcraft need to be as fast as it is? Can we add programmable AI behavior similar to the difference between Attack Move and Move? Maybe an auto retreat feature? Programmable healer prioritization? Minimum distance between units?

So all in all, I don't think RTS is special in this respect. Once upon a time, they would've said the same thing about shooters. "Quake is just too hard to play! The genre will never become accessible!" But look where CSGO is at today. Why? Because CSGO doesn't even let you move while shooting.

We can slow the game down and add helper tools to make the genre accessible.

Is it just me or are the Precision Keystones all basically the same besides Footwork?

The rest all start with "attack champions to gain a stack." And the difference is mainly if you want attack speed and damage, healing and damage, or just damage. More variety has got to be possible, no?

What to do during first scuttle spawn?

I’m asking this so that I don’t have to watch a 30 minute video that assumes I’ve never played the game before.

  1. Should I fight over the nearest scuttle crab after I finish my first clear?
  2. If not, where do I go and how do I avoid losing both crabs?
  3. Should I check on the opposite crab after killing the first one?

Help with spawner placement (Tombstones, Vermin Nests, and Summoning Circles)

What are some ideas for how to place these things while making them look good and efficient. Lots of castle tours omit spawners and so I'm turning to the community for tips.

How many of and where should I place each spawner? How do I decorate them? And how do I find the space for them?

How to put stairs at the start of my castle?

How do I put stairs at the border of my territory like in this video? Whenever I try it I get a “needs floor connection” error.
