Schrödingers equation and Chemical Bonding
In high school, teachers taught us that bonding between atoms is either due to sharing of electrons or complete transfer of electrons. But in grade 12, after studying Heisenberg uncertainty principle and Schrödinger equation, I tried to understand chemical bonding from a quantum mechanics perspective.
Now I can only imagine it as a superposition or overlap of electron wavefunctions/probabilities. What is chemical bonding actually in quantum mechanics?
