[SPOILERS] the adorable JP server updates (William and Liam sequel + past records)

normally i don't consider posting anything about what's going on the JP server but when i logged in and saw the sequel UI and how adorable little William and little Liam looked i just knew more people had to see them

forgive me for the clunky and half accurate at best translations <//3

  1. >!what the sequel UI looks like and reads for Liam and William respectively (1-2)!<

  2. >!little William and little Liam's too cute sprites [PAINFUL spoilers, poor sweet Liam] (3-8)!<

  3. >!Little Liam and William cards + the cute attire for the respective past records collection event (9-11)!<

pls let this sequel and past records update come to EN servers soon... (it probably won't until we have all Vogel routes but a girl can dream)

p.s > i was gonna use the "simping/screenshot dump" flair since i know most here play the EN server and don't consider this a game announcement but i didn't want to run the risk of people lumping the "simping" part of the slash with the screenshot dumps since in most of these screenshots they're babies

are iPad skins reliable? which should i get if i purchase one?

i got an iPad as a graduation gift (my first Apple product if that's relevant) and i'm super happy and grateful. however now, i can't stop wondering about how i could make it look cooler. a simple search led me to "iPad skins."

i couldn't find much content on them at all, only one or two application videos on YouTube. it gives me the impression that it might not be that common to get an iPad skin; so i'm wondering if i can get some insight on how reliable/I guess nice they are.

specifically i think I'll buy one from DecalGirl, my favourite colour is purple but i'm stuck on deciding which so I'd also love for opinions on which one you think looks the best, ty in advance

edit: for clarification i will be using a case, this is just for aesthetic purposes

Please, somebody, convince me to do Alfons' Route

rant + actual question

It's finally that time for me; character reselection

i just finished Ellis' Route (i adore him so much he's definitely in my top 4 fave) and now the only routes i have left to complete before i can start my second playthroughs are Harrison's, Williams', Victor's, and Alfons'

Harrison is out of the running because his preview didn't pull me in enough. maybe i'll change my mind when i finish second playthroughs

William is similarly out of the running because of his preview. however, the insightful reviews i've read about his route played a significant role as well and confirmed a few suspicions i had

in otomes in general I've always had an aversion to whoever the devs make the obvious "poster-child-you-should-play-me-first-tutorial-esque" LI for some reason

my sweet, sweet Victor is out because i've been warned to do his last due to major lore spoilers

and that leaves... Alfons

if you've seen my profile (shameless plug: P7L8VUGET) you can tell that i've already prematurely given Alfons a spot as one of my biases. partly because he's cute, partly because he's funny, partly because i love the event stories i have for him, and partly because of his dynamic with my dearest Elbie. >!(please tell me i wasn't the only one who was half gagged half turned on when he kissed us in Elbert's main route)!<

the thing is i literally haven't heard a single good thing about his main route and i just know based on how he is and routes he's had significant appearances in >!(Elbert, Liam, a bit of Ellis'… actually this guy is everywhere)!< that i'm about to have to put up with some BS

i like my LIs clearly in love with me at least nearing the end, any shenanigans that do happen aren't even thought of twice if they were technically/actually for me>! (love you Jude)!<

am I just putting up with BS to put with BS in Alfons' Route? Is it at least fulfilling in the end? I really want to love him fully by reading his route instead of cosplaying. give me all your reviews and opinions on his main route pretty please 🙏

has anyone gotten somewhere to stay on campus after being admitted in the summer (as a first year)

hi everyone, sorry to add this sort of clutter to the main stream but i can't get an answer anywhere else (ontario grade 12s sub, or the mega thread).

if i get an acceptance during the summertime as a first year does anyone know the chances of me getting on campus or just university associated housing? has anyone been in the same situation before?

i live way too far to commute but my parents wouldn't let me live off campus in my first year. therefore if i have a bad shot at on campus/university associated housing they probably won't want to pivot.

my parents and home in general isn't the biggest joy to be around to put it lightly so living in a different city and on campus would affect me so positively mentally and physically. thanks in advance

are we still alive late applicant to western

i heard other people applied late, mostly in May to an open or just big Western program just as a backup. has anyone heard back yet?

especially since it's a Thursday morning rn (the day it seemed like they typically sent out acceptances other then Friday; then again since we're considered late who knows if they're even following this).

they most they've told me is that we'll be processed after June 1st so... ya

A Hunter Graduated Highschool Today!!!

it's finally over!!!

i felt drawn to share this milestone today because of how much lads has impacted my highschool career in ways i couldn't even predict

after a first year of drifting and not putting in any effort, one afternoon in grade 10 i downloaded this game

the creativity, story, and attention to detail completely shifted how i viewed concepts like art and hardwork; each LI subconsciously motivating me to keep studying and volunteering (very special shoutout to the study feature)

especially rafayel who motivated me to continue volunteering and eventually lifeguarding at the beach, and zayne who motivated me to continue studying so i could get the provincial scholar award and get into an amazing pre-med program

as silly as it sounds i had a dream the night i was contemplating dropping out of French immersion of Lumiere (French for 'light' if you didn't know) speaking French at a café with Sylus and that was enough for me to continue

and with Caleb's addition into the game i was motivated to get a part-time to afford aurum pass (and of course for work experience)

i surely wouldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for the influence of this beautiful game, so for that I'm eternally grateful ❤️

i don't think the randomization is randomizing

like genuinely what is going on... although i'll admit as a completionist it's so helpful when it's the plushies you need

edit: i love how in the last pic Zayne is telling me to breath. like i'm trying Zaynie but all the plushies look the same 💔💔💔

What Language Should I Learn for University Foreign Exchange In 3rd Year

since i was in elementary i've wanted to go on foreign exchange in another country. now that i'm graduating highschool in a week i'm so ready to do one in university, most likely in my third year for an entire school year. thankfully all my university options have partners in over 100 countries each.

my interests have developed and i've had my fair share of European and Latin American experiences, therefore i'm leaning towards Asia, specially China, Japan, or maybe even South Korea.

The thing is i don't speak any of those languages (yes, i know for foreign exchange i don't have to know the native language but i want to regardless).

the most obvious deciding factor is time. starting this summer I'll have around 2.5 years. i'm not sure how to label the level i want to be at but the best thing i can think of other than being able to comfortably converse with native speakers is: if i go sit down in a café or in the middle of a mall i can understand what people around me are saying. Reading would be amazing as well.

interest-wise i love anime and manga a ton, however i heard mandarin is better for employment and just for the future on a global scale. Not a big deal since i love C-dramas and a few Chinese novels. When it comes to South Korea im a little bit of a kpop fan, but i was certainly a bigger one in grade 7. i'm moreso equally torn between Japanese and Mandarin with no idea which one. What do you reccomned with the time i have (and i should probably consider that i'm balancing a life science major full course load)? how do i effectively learn with that time? also if anyone's visited any of those countries i'd love to hear experiences!

Moving to uni soon, but my strict parents and social media cycles have me drained. How do I find peace and stop caring so much?

I'm 18 F and since I was a baby I can say that I've been pretty sensitive. Small things would make me cry and whenever somebody did me wrong I tended to hold onto that. Not in a malicious grudge sort of way, but in a 'that really hurt me' way. It definitely didn't help that in elementary and middle school I was bullied.

I'm proud to say that I've come a long way and now I'm rarely bothered by what people could possibly think or say about me. If my 14 year old self could see how many real friends I have and the way my confidence has skyrocketed she'd be astonished.

My struggles mostly are when it comes to being provoked into anger (which mostly manifests through tears). My family members, mostly my mother just seems to know exactly what buttons to press and absolutely does not care if she hurts my feelings. And yes, she has literally said this before. It definitely doesn't help that sometimes right after she yells at me she goes back to being super nice. How am I even supposed to feel?

My dad is just... My dad. Long story short they're not emotionally available, very draining, and quite controlling. If your parents are immigrants or even just strict you might know what I mean. Also if you've seen Turning Red I basically have Mei's parents but to lvl100.

I'm moving away for university soon so I guess I'll have more freedom then... But after that then what? It's not like I'm going to cut them off. And with how unpredictable the world is these days I could be staying with them from time to time. I really do love them but my sanity is first.

Following that social media tends to provoke me quite a lot and I'll admit; it seems quite childish the way it does. Being a part of fandoms for various things like anime for example leads to hearing lots of contrasting opinions. Now, I'm not mad at people having opinions, of course not. Me and my closest friends in real life have contrasting opinions, likes, and dislikes.

It's just when the vast majority of a group thinks something (let's say a ship for example or for those who don't follow anime just an opinion on something controversial) even if it's not the truth it gets me upset and sort of ruins the thing for me.

My brain tends to do this weird thing where it associates a thing with something I hate or something that makes me mad and then boom.

That thing is ruined for me. It can range from video games, to shows, to colours, to clothes, to a government, to food.

Sometimes it even goes down to words or letters. How do I make my brain stop doing this? How do I not care anymore?

I remarked that I mostly didn't care too much until around September 2024 when I pretty much traumatized myself by getting to the episode of a show I loved and watching a character I adored a bit too much get... Assaulted to say the least (the character is a half vampire and is blond if ykyk).

To combat this I've tried muting different sorts of words and fully uninstalling certain apps (I haven't had tiktok since early 2025). Despite this I always head back to certain apps either because I needed to find something or just out of lack of discipline. I also figure out a lot of the harmless or comforting media I consume shares platforms with triggering stuff so I can't always control what I see.

It's a cycle of download app, see something that makes me upset, it ruins the thing for me, uninstall app, don't do homework because my day is ruined (although I tend to force myself to get things done), then lastly ranging between a day to four months I find excuse to reinstall app. The cycle repeats. I hate crying over stuff like this because all of a sudden x is ruined for me because of random person on the internet I don't know. Especially if what they're saying/sharing/posting isn't true.

I'm mentally drained and I honestly just want to be at peace. I do remind myself that certain things aren't real. That social media is a bubble. That just because somebody is loud doesn't mean they're right. That in the end my parents mean the best despite how they come. However that feeling never lasts long enough. What can I do, what do I do?

What's Your Experience With Making Friends in Upper Years (especially if you transferred)

hi! im currently in grade 12 but about to graduate, possibly going into uoft life science.

if i do go to uoft for life science im already planning to probably transfer universities just for a more manageable course load and a better shot at a higher gpa.

that being said i haven't looked too deeply into the transferring process but i know that i for sure would want to transfer to queens for maybe general science or life science for my second year and beyond.

the only thing im worried about is how i would make friends since i have a feeling that by the start of second year everyone will already have their friend groups and ill be pretty much friendless or forcing myself to hang out with people who already have the social aspects of their life together.

does anyone have any tips or experience with making friends in second year and keeping in touch with them? what is second year like compared to first year?

We Must Grind to Survive This Banner — Drop the Methods Hunters

infold will NOT destroy us when it comes to this next multi. yes we are all broke. yes we all just barely survived Caleb's birthday AND a spicy multi.

but most importantly YES we are ALL pulling the cards we want for this banner.

okay seriously i can't be the only greedy one who wants each of these. and yet it's not looking cute considering i have around 3000 dias and not planning on spending more than $ 50

if anyone has any grinding tips from orbits to unicorns it is NEEDED.

especially if you're like me and maxed out abyssal chaos, unicorns, story combat, and lowkey stuck on orbitals...

edit: for context im 18 and still waiting for this manager to call me for an interview UGH

Choose Caleb's Birthday Plushies for Me !!!

normally when it comes to birthdays i always have a cake/plushie i obviously like more than the rest

however tomorrow (technically today in est) is Caleb's birthday and idk which plushie i like the most, pls give ur favourite and why pretty pls

side note, off topic rant: as a minimum spender (aurum pass + when i feel like it during events + some combat and photobooth outfits... okay maybe not minimum spender, anyways…) i try to sacrifice certain types of banners.

that includes solos, most reruns, and unfortunately birthday cards unless it's rafayel (although i always fail since lads loves draining our dias before birthdays).

so i was spending off the twenty free pulls they gave us for the sake of lowering my pulls until five star for limited banners and i was 57 until five stars at the time of my second ten pull.

and omg i got his card, at first i was a tad bit mad bc i was back at 67 but seeing the way his eyes light up almost made me cry i love my second main so much this is the best first birthday card ever <333

How were black enslaved people in the West Indies able to revolt so much more successfully than African Americans

This thought came to me in the shower as a somewhat surface consensus that settled into my mind due to history class and various media that I've seen. We often learn about the massive, world-altering success of the Haitian Revolution, or the major, multi-island uprisings across the Caribbean (like Tacky’s War in Jamaica).

Yet, when looking at the antebellum American South, while there were definitely notable rebellions and constant acts of resistance (like Nat Turner or Harriet Tubman), they never managed to overthrow the system or seize geographic territory on a massive scale.

From a historical perspective, what structural, demographic, or geographic factors made large-scale, successful revolts so much more achievable in the West Indies compared to the United States? Is just that black enslaved people in the West Indies outnumbered white people?

Western late applicant process University

so I applied to gen sci in late May and emailed admissions to ask about a timeline.

copy and pasting this part from the email they said "For any program choices added in May, decisions may be on hold until after June 1st. We will complete our review on all of the grade data that is available at the time of making decisions and it’s important that your OUAC High School Grades information is up to date."

so now that it's about to hit mid June does anyone have any idea (at least a guess with logic not just a random idea) on possible times they would or could get back to me? obviously like they said after June first but I guess I want more context

are they processing my application along with waitlisted ppl or like after them?

for those who have played — should i play ikemen sengoku or ikemen vampire next?

already on the ikevil sub but might as well post this here too!!

im definitely far from complete in ikevil and ikepri but im getting an iPad soon, so of course why not download an ikemen game i can play only when im on it.

the thing is im not sure which one. i love ikevil and ikepri equally so similarity to one or the other doesn't matter. basically the only thing to be compared for me is which LIs are better (or just more developed), the aesthetics, mechanics, story quality, event quality, which game is easier to understand, which feels less like a chore to play, etc.

if it helps my faves for ikevil are Elbert, Ellis, Darius, Jude, Nica, and Victor and for Ikepri my faves are Azel, Clavis, Litcht, Chevalier, Yves, Kagari, AND MAYBE Silvio will grow on me but i can't get over how he treats my baby Rio...
