No, Florida and maybe Texas are not the most well ran states

No, Florida and maybe Texas are not the most well ran states

Let’s get into it.

Quality of Life (Healthcare, rate of crime, childcare affordability, environmental quality, legal protections)
-Florida #22
-Texas #48

Cost of living
-Florida #48
-Texas #39

Infrastructure
-Florida #16
-Texas #26

Fiscal health
-Florida #20
-Texas #27

So what is my complaint?
Not that this person thinks this, but what is going on that would lead a reasonable thinking person to believe this? Is this a product of frequent misinformation on social media? Is this a product of media manipulation? What is even going on.

Wanted breakfast, got lumpy flour and water over country fried steak

Traveling for work, DD’d some country fried steak, eggs, and toast.

Yum?

Professor Timothy Snyder claims that there is a portion of Americans who want to live under authoritarianism, do you believe that’s accurate?

Speaking with Katie Couric he talks about acknowledging that not all Americans do want to live in a democracy, and that Trump has uniquely tapped into two types of voters; those who believe authoritarianism is superior to democracy and those who would support mmm democracy OR authoritarianism depending which style of governance allows them to make the most money.

Where do you stand? Are you pro democracy or pro authoritarian government?

Are you faring better with your business under Trump’s rollback of regulations and loosening of laws and standards?

Does recognizing that there are people who actually want authoritarianism help you make sense of perceived apathy (aka those people aren’t giving up or unaware of what’s happening, they actively want to live under that type of government style)?

It was bad enough when Hegseth did it, but what is this clown thinking Disparaging troops in the media?!

This is a really bad look for the country, and inexcusable coming from him, someone who has 5 deferments during Vietnam. Shame on him.

Rocket Scientist has a genius election strategy 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Woman in relationship with another woman boasts to the world how she plans to vote for the candidate who doesn’t think her relationship should exist. To put any doubt to rest that she is in fact a member of Mensa, she explains how she cast a ballot for Stevens so she could vote for Rogers in the midterms. Encourages others to “play the game”.

Rather than checkers or chess this one plays flash cards.

wtf is wrong with the establishment Dems?

This week we have longtime strategist James Carville doing an interview and announcing (paraphrasing here) that if you don’t support Israel, you need to be out of the Democratic Party and they don’t want you. This is fairly similar to the message Fetterman put out this week as well when he spoke with John Stewart.

So this is what they’re doing eh? After all the pomp and circumstance about Trump and the threat of Trump their strategy is to go public and voice their disapproval for (let’s just say it) El-Sayed.

Pardon my French, but:
You dumbass motherfuckers. Why are you so woefully incapable of learning?

Also, I think the party essentially deciding we don’t care what voters want and what voter priorities are, we want to continue with our way and what we see fit.

You lost to Donald Trump. Twice.

Again;

You dumbass motherfuckers

I think we are either about to have our tea party moment in the Democratic Party or we don’t- but I’m over these fuckers.

Is this Fauci pursuit not a waste of time and taxpayer money? Do people in the U.S. think it was only America who had covid guidelines?

Several other countries had health leaders who made decisions and guidelines for COVID. This included things like vaccines, vaccine requirements for employment in certain industries, masking, lockdowns, social distancing, and travel restrictions and requirements. This was not exclusive to the U.S., nor was it in any relation to Dr. Fauci. So, why is the US Republican controlled senate behaving like victims? Why are they behaving as though Americans were somehow uniquely victimized by this man, as if the same thing wasn’t going on everywhere else? Why is it only in America is the government coming after its health leadership and its citizens believing they were uniquely fooled?

How is this a good use of taxpayer money?
How is this not a bad look for America.

Who is doing that? (Rhetorical) the third party vote

This is the complaint forum so I’m going to complain.

It doesn’t make me right necessarily, it’s just my opinion, and I’m gong to complain.

Yes, everyone gets to vote. Yes this is how voting works and everyone’s voice gets to be represented because that’s how a democracy works.

And I’ve got feelings and I’m going to bitch because that’s how Reddit works. Watching the senate race results and so fuggin irritated by the people who throw their votes at the third party candidate. If we lose this opportunity to give AIPAC the finger because of someone’s self righteousness or racism I’m going ape. To the universe.

Towawanda!!!

Would you support a shift in our current systems to a social democracy system if it gave us what the other westernized countries get to enjoy?

Our fellow first world capitalist countries seem to by and large enjoy a quality of life that I could only dream of. Regardless of your political leanings now, would you support changes to a more social democracy style structure and guard rails on to the way capitalism operates so we could enjoy those things to?

-Universal healthcare model / virtually non-existent medical debt
-Universal tuition; low cost or no cost tuition
- Pro worker life balance; a month or more of paid vacation annually, a year or more (give or take) of paid parental leave or shared parental leave, a year or more of paid medical leave
-Expanded unemployment benefits program (compared to U.S.)

As a result those countries also get to enjoy:

-lower crime rates than the U.S., in many of those countries this is around 50% lower violent crime
-better overall general health and longer life expectancy
-after tax and fixed COL more take home pay compared to U.S.
-lower poverty and smaller wealth inequality gaps.

So, would you support changes?

ETA: There are tradeoffs and potential drawbacks, let’s discuss them in the comments

Do you believe the Trump administration will follow the law and release the unredacted Epstein files before the end of his term?

As of 3:00 p.m. yesterday, Todd Blanche missed the most recent deadline in the court order to release the un-redacted Epstein files.

We now know for absolute verified fact that the Trump administration has not followed any of the court orders to release the files. We do not know that Trump is in the files. We do not know for fact that he is involved. We do know that his administration has not followed the law and continues to not follow the law. We do know that whether he is in the files or not, he and his administration have opened 0 investigations and filed 0 charges towards any individuals in the files. We now know at present, they are covering for criminals and suppressing justice.

Do you believe the court will continue to turn up the heat in attempt to pressure the Trump administration to follow the law? Do you believe it is likely Blanche will never release the files and just receive a pardon from Trump instead?

How damaging do you believe suppressing justice could be for remaining members of the Republican Party?

Or, do you have some hope that since Trump did eventually pay the settlement he owed to E. Jean Carroll for defamation when he tried to discredit her for reporting his sexual assault, he will eventually abide by the courts and start following the law with these files?

Why is this Fauci thing a thing? We are in an unnecessary war, we are spending money like it’s our last day on earth, the Epstein files are still being hidden, people are struggling with expenses. This is what congress is doing? Seriously?

What is going on with this pointless Fauci bullshit? Why despite repeatedly blocking and hitting “not interested” is the algorithm feeding me raging right wing person after raging right wing person talking about Fauci and Covid? Why am I reading text of people implying Fauci deserves prison for “what he did to us” what the actual fuck? This seems to of come out of nowhere and at what point does this Congress and this president do their fucking jobs, rather than go on side quests and ignore the pressing issues at hand? Also, when did it become a right wing belief that Fauci created covid? I mean holy hell people are really running with this.

Why has Trump just approved a nuclear program for Saudi Arabia but says Iran can’t have one?

Saudi Arabia is also an Islamist theocracy. Why the double standard? We have hundreds of injured soldiers and we have dead service members because we started a war with Iran because they can’t have a nuclear program. What is the move with this exactly?

Hold up. So I have to pay the same price for a thin mallow sandwich as a regular one??!

What nonsense is this? Shrinkflation hitting Crumbl. No, I won’t be defending this bullshit so they can start doing it with a bunch of other cookies too.

ETA. Okay, so a regular one had a 30 cent up charge. I still feel cheated.

When you redeem rewards do you get the total amount?

First ever tower event. The chests say 2/2 for example so does that mean you are getting 2 chests if you redeem? In the bonus section there are ingot lots that says 10/10 does that mean you’re getting 10 of them ?

Woe is me. Lowly first time tower event player

As the title says, this is my first time playing the tower event. I started playing the game at the top of May this year. I’m sitting at one…ONE character available for the exploration challenges. I actually have an additional 4 characters featured on the squares but none of them are higher than level 3. I have 1 out of 4 characters for each of the 4 individual challenge boxes. I do not have the main character either. I’m newer so I adjusted expectations, I previewed the board and boxes and knew I was not going to have much. What actually ticked me right off was seeing that they take 6 cocos now, and seeing that characters need to be at level 5 instead of just 3. It would be one thing if the bonus points were bigger and the points possible was more but it doesn’t appear to be any change. This just felt unnecessary and put a real pin in my balloon. Not a very fun experience for us newer players. I’ve seen complaints about using the same characters but now I think thank goodness because I can at least work on getting them ready for future tower challenges. Maybe it will be a better experience once I have more playable options.

So, they just plopped a bunch of random documents on the WH.gov site, Trump told the people to go check them out as they are evidence of the election interference, then said he’s calling for investigation

Essentially this is akin to telling people accusations are convictions and proof of guilt, without any investigation. The most batshit part of this is he stated that our elections had been interfered with, they have the evidence, go read it! Then a few lines later he says he’s calling for an investigation. Do you know how insane that is? Telling the public their elections are not secure, that they have been interfered with as though it’s a true fact and then stating you’re opening an investigation..I mean WHAT?!

What “adjustments” could she be referring to? 1 week after the EAC was essentially dissolved. States run the elections right?
