Is it common to think that if you like someone romantically, they’ll be disgusted at you?

I'm 21, and I never had a gf before. I only once tried to ask out a girl in my math class, and she walked away mid sentence before I could even ask her. This deeply damages my self worth. I try to do things to look better, from losing weight, having a skincare routine, and having whiter teeth, and so on. But no matter what I do whenever I’m attracted to a girl I always think she would be deeply offended at my interest in a relationship with her.

It sometimes makes me think most women are lesbians, and straight women are truly rare.

Women who support same sex marriage are actually misandrist and heterophobic.

Their support for it, I feel, is implicitly primarily a way to drive a wedge between the 2 sexes, and they hate the idea that men are sexually attracted to women. They may frame it as other stuff, but deep down, they don't want guys being into girls, and they support same sex marriage because it helps push men away, which is why women who support this ultimately hate men and hate heterosexuality. Guys who support this, on the other hand, don't have malicious intent for supporting it.

Do most people nowadays hate kids so much?

I feel nowadays a lot of people have immense hatred towards kids in public, the idea of having kids, and deeply shame and degrade couples who want to have their own kids instead of raising someone else's kids. This is probably correlated to the higher use of abortion as the world becomes more and more hostile to kids and people who want to have kids. Don't people know that they were once kids? Why do they hate kids so much? If they hate life so much, why don't they use assisted medical intervention if they don't want to live anymore? Is it impossible nowadays to say you want to have a kid someday without being stoned to death?

Are people nowdays against people who are conventional and who want marriage and kids?

I 21m want to get married and have kids someday. I feel people nowadays are deeply against having kids. I’m attracted to women. I feel nowadays people are deeply offended if I’m attracted to conventional women and not men or male body parts. Are people now against not agreeing with substance use, don't find tattoos attractive, and don't agree with polyamory or open relationships, and require you to be open to it?

Do most people still want to get married and have kids someday?

I go to college with the hopes of finding a job someday that I like that can also pay the bills. I want to be able to buy a house and have a wife and kids someday. I feel like this is a very typical common life goal. Nowadays I feel no one wants this anymore. When people frame not dating and no kids as more freedom more joy more money, it makes me feel like I’m somehow wrong or a bad person for wanting this life. I feel no one wants this anymore. Sometimes I also feel like the most hated person in the world where maybe people do want it but everyone hates me and doesn’t want it with me.

I’m attracted to women, not men. I need attraction to develop romantic feelings for someone. It's what separates a friend from a romantic partner for me. Someone I get along with really well and wants the same things in life as me, but if I’m not attracted to them, I can’t develop romantic feelings. I feel people are deeply offended and can’t understand this. I feel like I’m somehow a bad person if I don’t have feelings for someone I’m not into but at the same time I know dating someone I’m not into or compatible with is a waste of each other time.

Is society now extremely pessimistic towards life?

I’m 21. I slacked in highschool and is why I’m in community college trying to make up. I want to transfer to a 4 yr and get a job that pays well someday. I want to be able to buy a house, have a wife and kids someday. I feel like this is a very normal want and life pat. I don’t like to watch social media news a lot because I feel a lot of is driven off engagement and fear to get more clicks. I feel no one wants marriage or kids anymore. I feel now I have to justify to the world why I want marriage and kids. I want marriage and kids because it’s just something I emotionally want not because it’s some calculated scheme. I feel the world now hates this, is pessimistic and hates me for wanting this. Does the world now really think life is over, ai is going to ruin everything, and getting married and having kids is now inherently wrong want and theyve given up

Why is Reddit so against conventional life?

For example if someone wants to own a business, and make money most redditors seem deeply against this. When someone talks about deeply wanting marriage, kids and being heterosexual, people on here frame this desire in a deeply negative light when it’s biological and normal. Overall spending time on here makes me feel in the world that nowadays If you’re straight man who wants to get married and have kids, likes gender roles, have a business and a house someday, and provide for a family, you somehow are the worst thing to exist.

How do I get over feeling so persecuted for being straight?

I feel in modern society, homosexuals have far more acceptance than straights. As a straight man, I feel admitting that I'm attracted to women causes a lot of backlash. People are now allowed to make fun of and degrade straight people, but if I made fun of them, people would lose it. I feel like I'm no longer allowed to be straight, and I have to apologize for my sexuality

I'm not joking. Every time I experience attraction towards a woman, I internally feel large parts of society hate me. Every time I think about wanting to get married and have kids someday, I feel like so many people want to kill me. I truly wish I could say this was a joke, but it's not. I live with so much pain because I always feel that large parts of the public hate me so much.
